Perfect replacement for my beanie

I am using this to replace my beanie. I tend to be cold, so in 80 degree water in Belize I wore an Aqua Blue dive skin, then this Scubapro Hooded vest. I wore a 3 mm Henderson Thermoprene Pro wetsuit on top. I was very comfortable - not hot or cold at all. Also, no blood worms in my ears during night dives. Just be sure to punch a hole (or three) in the top of the hood to let the trapped air bubble out. I was on a liveaboard, and a crew member used a propane torch to heat an icepick almost red hot. Then he poked a three small holes in the hood. The hot ice pick both poked the hole and cauterized the hole to prevent fraying. I ordered two sizes so I could do a side by side comparison, and returned one. Since this was not a "perfect fit" exchange, I had to pay return shipping. But it was worth it to me to be able to try the two sizes on side by side.

A Nice Addition for Layering

I purchased the hooded vest to add a little warmth to a 3mm full suit. The vest fits well however getting the hood over my head was a little bit of a struggle with the neck. However once on, the neck did not feel tight. Other than that I am quite pleased with the additional warmth it adds. The hood does trap some bubbles.

I love it!

The fit is perfect and though I have not used it diving i have been wearing this to the gym and is so comfortable. I get compliments at the gym and the proud feeling of being noticed as a scuba diver.

Great vest!!

Bought this to use in DR. It kept me warm in over 1 hour diving ( max depth 70ft). Very good vest for warm weather diving.
