Wonderful except for a critical 25-cent part

I find the Glide very comfortable, with some excellent features: (1) The supercinch band is brilliant. It's VERY easy to switch tanks because you don't have to lift a fully-loaded vest over the old tank and onto the new one. Just unhook the band and slide the vest sideways over to the next tank. (2) The inflator and the dump valves are very reponsive. (3) It's easy to lock in the ditchable weight pockets, and easy to check that they're fastened securely -- no guesswork, like in some other vests! There are two glitches: (1) Some of the D-rings are positioned a bit oddly, and the vest could use a couple more of them. (2) A 25-cent part very nearly ruins the benefits of the supercinch band. The slide lock on the tank valve accessory strap jams up VERY hard when the vest is fully loaded -- it's almost completely impossible to get it unlocked between dives, so you can't get the vest off the tank even if the main tank band is unlocked. When this happens you have NO choice but to unload all the weights to get the strap loose again -- very frustrating!!! There are two fixes: don't use the strap at all (which means you can't easily position the vest on the tank when you're first setting it up), or replace it with a squeeze lock buckle (which I did; works great.)
