Review Summary

The new style heel straps are much better being constituted with bungee cords. They are less prone to stretching out of shape than the spring straps. That said, the spring heel straps are an improvement over the rubber heel strap. More flexibility in fit and longevity. In time and heavy use, the springs may stretch somewhat. The spring straps are easy to install. Only requires a Phillips head screwdriver and needle nose pliers.

I had 2 old pairs of scuba pro fins from 1984 when I first got certicated with this straps they are as good as new. I had not used them in over 15 years related to how hard they were to get on my feet. That is not a problem now.

Of the three options available for the Jet Fins this is my favorite option (rubber strap, exposed spring with rubber grip, this covered spring option). It works the best in all environments (land, boats, and in the water). I have never had to worry about the spring getting caught on something or getting cut (rubber strap). The cloth cover also rolls over your boot making it easier to pop on or off with one or two fingers without having to look at the strap to try to find the grip.

It doesn't necessarily match the size of the fin. You have to measure your foot inside the fin and go around from aide to aide to know what size strap you'll need.

These keep my fins on my feet. What else can I ask for?

Your boot needs to be well fitted into the fin to get the strap on. I have the XL straps and have a 12 boot.

After trying 2 other types of spring straps for my Jet fins, I've finally found these. They are perfect. The sizing option makes for a great fit. (The smaller size works for wet suit diving. The larger size works perfectly for drysuit diving.) Construction is clean and professional. Webbing cover is strong and well finished. The amount of stretch in the springs makes for a secure fit but easy to don and doff in the surf zone or at the swim step. My search is over!

Work great only thing is you have to cut old strap buckles off so returning to old strap type not done as easy as it could be . But functionally and comfort wise they are fantastic

Absolute Must when using Jet Fins. No nonsense and no need to adjust when going from Dry Suit to Neoprene booties. Versatile, practical and strong.

The Scubapro spring straps were easy to install and are very comfortable. They improve the functionality of the Jet Fins making doning and doffing simple.

Well I have a size 10 boot and use 2XL Scubapro jet fins and these are just about 1-2 inches too short to make them easy to don and doff. Easy to don and doff, if you are on dry land, but in the water.... good luck. The cave line that is used to limit the stretch of the spring is just too short for my use.

Well I use these with my #10 Bare boots and Bare dry suit, with 2XL Scubapro Jet fins. I had the 10 inch, as it was too much of a struggle to put on the fins. The 12 inch are bigger, but still not long enough to make it easy to get these on with my current setup. I usually need to get some help to get these on, so I'd like to see a 13 or 14 inch model too.

Previous reviewer is incorrect. The kit includes 2 long stainless screws and 2 stainless ny-lok nuts for instillation. I recommend them for anyone who loves Jet fins but has experienced strap failure due to rot.

Those guys at Leisure Pro are the best. I ordered these spring straps three days before my NC wreck diving trip and they arrived two days later. When you place an order with Leisure Pro, it goes out the same day and you can't beat free shipping on most items. Thank you Leisure Pro........

I find these a must for drysuit diving. Always tight, never too tight!

Shipped without PINS and the instructions say to pry off the original brackets and reuse them but this didn't work since the original pins simply cheered off when I tried. Other products are much lower price and they include pins or have a different method to secure them to the fin itself. I would not recommend this product.

These 10" length were too small for XXL Scubapro Jet Fins and size 14 OTB Ohdin boots. The 12" length is perfect in that case. These are the exact same spring straps as the Halcyon ones. Simple, well made with internal cave line to limit stretch.

For ease of donning and removing - - - even in the water ; plus , self adjusting for compression at depth you cannot beat fin springs.

Do you find yourself frustrated while trying to adjust your fin Straps while floating in the water or while wearing bulky diving gloves? Have you ever discovered that your fin strap was too tight or too loose too late? The spring heel straps offer ditching/donning ease and dive long comfort. You'll never battle fin straps again after installing a pair of Spring Heel Straps.
Scubapro's Spring Heel Straps are designed for the Jet Fins (see SKU: SCPFJ) and are sold in pairs. These corrosion resistant straps have a comfortable cover and steel springs that are depth compensating so they will contract when you go to depth and your boots compress with the increase of water pressure. They will also re-expand upon ascent. Straps are available in multiple sizes.
