I paired the A700 second stage with the MK 25 EVO. This by far is superior in all aspects. First: ease of breathing. The A700 delivers ease of breathing at any depth and position. Prior to using the A700/MK25, I have been using the G250/MK10. And IMO, the A700 is superior in performance compared to the G250. Second: lighter weight. Because of the smaller size of the A700 compared to the G250, it feels more comfortable. Third: easier access to the adjustment knobs. Even with gloves, it is easier to turn the adjustment knobs underwater. I give this regulator a five star.

There is a night and day difference between the performance of the ScubaPro M25/A700 and my old Mares Rover 12S setup. This combination breathes very smoothly at all depths.

I purchased the MK25 with the A700 and was excited to "feel" the difference from my other reg setups. First, since it's metal it is a little heavier. I switched mouthpieces a few times but went back to stock as it felt the best and gave me the most control holding the extra weight. The main reason why I purchased is I dive mostly solo and wanted what I felt was the best set up for me. The metal design offers some moist air as the cool compressed air hits the metal plate and offers a little breathing moisture. What I really noticed was the regs. Performance at depth. First, at 50' I really did not notice that much, however, as I defended deeper it really performed and the air was instantaneous, (100-156' is where I do most of my dives). The service is only once every two years and design and build will last a long long time... It is louder, (exhaust) than other regulators but overall would buy again and feel safe as Scupa Pro's reputation, performance tests and build quality make it worth the few extra dollars.
