I needed a light, small mouth basic snorkel and this one is just perfect for me, but probably not for everyone. Naturally, water flows in the top, but you just stay close to the surface. Today was its first use and it passed the test with flying colors.

I am a novice diver and find that I sometimes would grab my snorkel by mistake when reaching for the inflate?deflate hose. Wanted a simple snorkel without a long flexible mouthpiece hose. Just returned from a cruise and had a chance to use this snorkel on half a dozen dives. It worked just fine and seems to be well built.

I learned to dive with a non-purge valve snorkel. Most new snorkels have purge valves which add swimming resistance. Plus they usually have a dry-top which restricts air flow and increases breathing effort. I prefer a non-purge valve snorkel which can be hard to find. The only problem is the retainer slips on the snorkel so the snorkel doesn't stay put at the proper position to fit in my mouth.

I needed a smaller light weight snorkel for my swim routine in our community lap pool. I have other snorkels for scuba diving that fold up and are stored in my BC. This snorkel is perfect.

The prosaic snorkel: ungarnished, uncluttered, and almost indestructible! There when you need it, and with only a little practice, a wonderful tool!

I wanted an old-school snorkel and this item is perfect in that task. The quick-release for attaching it to a mask works well, and I have no complaints about the quality. The curve does not cause the tip to line up straight with all people, but it is a good snorkel if you don't want anything fancy.
