I used the lights this weekend and they worked great. I carry one on my BCD with a retractable line. I put the other one in my BCD pocket as a back up. The lights were used for signaling, swim throughs and checking out objects. They put out a good concentrated light.

I bought this light as a backup for my main light. I decided to test it out on my last trip. The light output was so weak, I switched back to my main light immediately. Also, due to the poor design, there is no on/off switch. You have to unscrew the top (which is where the batteries go). I ended up flooding the light. So only used it once.

I have two of these lights and use them for freedive spearfishing. The first one has been very reliable and puts out plenty of light for it's size. The second one I bought for my son. It flooded sitting in his dive tube. Cleaned it, greased the o-ring, and tried again. Flooded and shorted out. Sent it back to PT and they replaced it free of charge. New one works fine.

I've owned three of these lights now and they are great for recreational SCUBA but not for the rigors of commercial diving. There's only one o-ring and the plastic on the lens piece that makes up the threads is thin. Therefore, the seal is not going to stand up to anything serious. The brightness, size, and burn time are fantastic but as soon as the light floods; it's only a matter of time until it begins to flicker and die. If Princeton Tec beefed it up a little and added added a switch like their Torrent LED they'd having something great.

All was good except for the rubber lens protector fell off while trying to turn off the light @ 60 feet underwater & could not do it.

Bought this light as a replacement for an earlier model. I use it as a backup light for night dives. It is small but very bright. The LED bulb is amazing. Would recommend this as a backup light or just a rugged all purpose light.

An okay little light. went out for some scuba diving too about 30 to 40 feet and had no problems.the following week I went down closer to 80 feet and the light flooded at the bottom. I always make sure that the light is in the proper position before I dissent. That being said it is an awesome bright light, I really hope I just have a defective light because the max LED bulb thingy is fantastic. here's hoping for round two

I used this on our most recent dive trip to Cozumel. It worked fine for the first three dives, but on the fourth dive I must have turned it just a little too far and it took on water and died. For the price, it is very nice but in the future I will purchase one that has a sealed on/off switch.

I used this light one time as a tool to peek under ledges for critters. Unfortunately, the light flooded and failed on it's very first dive to 90 feet. The cause of the malfunction was a defective housing that contains the LED electronics and contact spring. The housing uses two screws to keep the halves flush and allow the housing to contact the batteries when the top is twisted CCW. Since this housing wasn't allowing the spring to extend for battery contact it flooded when the top was turned far enough to initiate the LED to light. I recommend to verify that your lights spring loaded LED housing operate smoothly over its entire travel motion to enguage the contacts without exposing the o-ring.

We use this as a backup light for diving. But, It can be a main light if your dive buddy has a strong light.

Nice and bright (brighter than more expensive flashlight of similar size). Only downfall is the twist on feature without a button or switch to turn it on.

I will use this light for poking about during daylight use and as a back-up during twilight/night dives. It seems to have a concentration of light but not @ a point. With the LEDs the batteries should last a long time along with the brightness of the light. It is possible to have the lens assembly which is used for the on/off switch tightened just a bit too much which allows the light to come on under pressure from dive depths. Also, if the lens assembly is backed off too much the unit will flood. The operation is something that the operator has to get used to.

This is a good solid light that will stay on for a long time. I use it as a backup. Be careful to not unscrew the lense (on-off switch)too much when under water or prior to entering, because if you go past the 0-rings it will flood.

This is a decent light as a backup, though not super-bright. When used during the day, it has to be carefully directed to be used as a "peeker" for under ledges, etc., or it won't be effective, as it isn't that bright around the periphery. It would be much easier to use if it had an actual on/off switch. Instead, you turn the body of the light, as if you are tightening or loosening it (as you do when you open it or put in the batteries). This creates a real danger of opening and flooding the light when you are simply trying to turn it off. Not sure why it was designed this way. We bought two, and one flooded the first time it was used, even though it had never been turned on or off.

We use the light for night diving. (it's not so great on walls/crevasses for daytime diving though) It is bright white in color (cooler white versus warm white) and as intense as most dive lights that other divers use (a bit more compact in the width of the light diameter, but I like to look for small stuff and not search the entire ocean at night anyway). twist on-off sometimes sticks if too tightly closed and not so easy with gloves. we've had 3 so far. after perhaps 100-150 dives, they do seem to flood, but for the price, we don't complain. batteries last forever and we generally use rechargeable ones. lightweight. great value.

This is a reliable backup divelight with a strong, white and bright beam (and it lasts for >2 hours on new 4AA Alkaline batteries). It is sometimes good enough as a primary (if you dive in clear water). I attach it to a retractor clipped on my BCD. The only downside is the on-off is done by turning the head - if you leave the head too tight, it comes on when you enter the water (you might not notice this in the day or when you have the light in a pouch). If you keep it too loose, you risk flooding the light. There doesn't seem to be a product out there that can best this light - other competing LED divelights in this price range have similar mode of operation and some with on-off switches (which cost double) have trouble with the switch mechanism. The LED doesn't seem to flicker on my light.

This is a great little light! It is small enough to just clip to your BC but it is plenty bright. It fits well in my hands with 5mil gloves on and is easy to turn on and off. I mostly use it to look between rocks and tight cracks ect fo bugs... Batterys last a long time too!! Good all around or backup light.

Not a bad flashlight for outside the water or as a temporary backup, however its not very bright (in low vis water) and the on/off is goofy as you have to screw the light hood in to turn on, and back it off to turn off (like youre removing the batteries). Also seems like it takes alot more turns to turn off, which I personally felt like water would pour in

This light gives a nice bright WHITE light. I used it on a night dive in Cozumel and it worked just great. Easy to hold onto and doesn't get in your way.

I've gone through about a dozen "back-up" lights looking for the right one at a low price: dependable LED, long battery life, solid build. They all fell apart after a few dives, except this one. I finally opted for two primaries, but recently decided to give this one a try. I have really tried to punish this thing, and it keeps on working. I lost it on a 125 foot wreck dive, but found it the next day still lit-up! Only complaint is the lens has scratched earlier than expected.

Great light for looking into spaces, etc. I was in a wreck recently with someone who had a larger light. This one had a much better beam. After the dive the guy who was carrying the bigger light commented on how much better my light was. My only wish is that it had a button versus the 'twist on' feature.

Taken it on 20ish dives and has been very useful as a backup torch. I have been careful to maintain it, but unfortunately I picked it up the other day and the glue holding the lens cap together came apart so I had to throw it out.

I originally bought this as a backup for my cave course, and it performed very well when I ended up having to use it to exit a cave on one dive. It's very bright and the beam travels a long distance. I recently used it for night diving in the tropics, and it was all I needed; in fact it may have been a little TOO bright. Excellent for packing because it's small and light. Great battery life and nice that it uses 4 AAs. I'm buying a second one very soon.

I carry this light on every dive. It's good for lighting up dark crevices during the day and also as a backup for your night dives. Note that it will often illuminate by itself as you descend due to the increased pressure, but the extremely long battery life makes it low maintenance.
