Horrible. Pulled out of case & dove with it. Turned off 3 minutes into the dive and would not come back on. Changed batteries & bulb. Still never worked. Thank god for back ups.

This is a good back-up light at a reasonable price. My wife and I bought two of these about 17 years ago and we just replaced hers which was inadvertently damaged. Mine always stays in my BC pocket night and day (looking under ledges).

I like this little light. It is a good back up or close by marker.

This is a solid light. The four batteries you need to power the light come with it...inside when you open it up. The light is ready to go in the box/tube. The case is well-designed and the "on" switch is easy to use. I bought it for the lumens and the price. I felt comfortable buying it because of the reviews. I feel comfortable using it because it performs like everyone says it does.

By the end of the first dive, I noticed that this light was on and would not turn off. Turns out that it flooded and the switch contacts failed.

Light is bright enough. I have used these lights for a long time and they hold up well. This light is a replacement for one I broke.

My dive buddy and I both got these to use for wreck diving mostly and to try to use during night dives. I used it once and it broke and flooded. My buddy's broke when we went to 90ft. during a wreck dive. We had to throw them away. Really disappointed.

Took the light on 4 dives to Florida. Upon returning and pulling batteries for storage the light was found to be flooded. Leisure Pro replaced it for me. Good customer support by Leisure Pro will keep me coming back to look at products because I know they will stand behind what they sell.

Good for night diving. Sometimes I use it for wall diving during the day.

Again you get what you pay for. I have had a couple of these and they last about 1 year and then you need to get another.

My wife and I each have one of these for daytime snorkeling and night diving. It's a bright, compact light with long life and excellent reliability. So much easier to manage on a dive than the larger handle lights, but produces plenty of light for night dives.

I used it in a cave dive when my main light failed. It worked great as a backup. The light has a nice solid feel to it. Well worth the price I paid for it. The only down side is the handle feels slippery to me on dry land.

turning on was tricky. The switch would not always turn on the light. At times the switch had to be in just the right location before the light would operate. It was not as easy as on off. And at times it would not turn on right away.

We have been using the TEC 400 for over 3 years now. It's a great day light for peeking into dark places and a nice back-up for night dives. In the tropics it may be the only night dive light you need to use but bring something as a back-up just because.

I have used one of these as my primary dive light about ten years and it was great. However, I lost that one on the last dive trip to California's Channel Islands, I think the lanyard broke. The one I just purchased to rplace it was sitting on a counter when it got bumped and it fell 3 feet onto the carpet and now it won't work. I changed the bulb but it seems to be the switch which broke. I'll have to send it back to Princton to get it fixed. It doesn't seem to be as rugged as the first one I had but I'll stick with Princton anyhow.

This is a good light. The batteries really last a long time. The bottom line is it a great backup light for the money.

This is a good light, the batteries really last a long time, so you don't need to worry about it. It's really easy to find accessories for replacement and the focus is really good. The only problem, I think is the waterproof system that could be better...(2 o-rings instead of only one). In general, it's a good light, I recommend.

Clever design provides for spare bulbs stored right in the housing. Very good battery life. Decent amount of light, certainly more than sufficient as a back up light.

Great little light. I had my first one for about 10 years before breaking the lense. I didn't hesitate when it came to ordering another light. This light goes with me on every dive.

Good long lasting light. I bought this light to go with the one that I already have.
The old faithful of Princeton Tec's dive line, the TEC 400's classic and rugged design has been a staple in the dive industry for decades. 4 C-Cell (included) batteries power the clean halogen bulb for up to 5 hours of underwater light with an adjustable burn time. They say you can't teach an old dog new tricks", but with a light as reliable as the TEC 400, why would you want to?
The Halogen lamp provides 49 lumens of brightness and the simple thumb switch makes one hand operation a snap. Light has a visible light distance on land in high output mode of 548' (167 meters) and in low output mode 438.3' (133.6 meters). Light comes with an adjustable rubber sleeved wrist lanyard and an additional long burn bulb. The Tec 400 Flashlight is made from high impact resistant polycarbonate plastic, weighs 19.97 oz. (566 g) with batteries, is depth rated to 330' (100 meters) IPX8, is available in multiple color choices and comes with an owner's manual.
