Shopper : Would these gloves provide enough protection for lobstering and would they be uncomfortable in warm water?SUCHAN S : Yes it would be great for lobstering.but might be a little warm in warm watersDALE D : These gloves would provide more than enough protection for lobstering. That answer is based on the caribbean rock lobster (warm water...no claws). Also, they would not be uncomfortable in warm water. The only criticism I have about these gloves is they were cut too small. Definitely consider one size larger than your regular size. Leisure Pro has a fantastic return policy both in writing and in practice, so as long as time is not ultracritical, if the fit is not ideal, you can return them. The gloves are a good investment.MIYUKI S : For lobstering I'd recommend a glove with kevlar. They have strings coming off them now and I have only had them for maybe a year. For the price they are alright but if you are really working wrecks I don't know if they will hold up for you.JOHN N : I used these gloves for an inland commercial diving job. They lasted about two days which is typical for any neoprene gloves used in that industry. I've used just about every brand of glove made, and they just don't hold up to commercial work. If the job doesn't require a lot of finger dexterity you can go to Home Depot, and buy a heavy duty chemical resistant glove (found in the cleaning supply aisle), and wear those over the neoprene glove. Those gloves are extremely tough, but they still melt while using a Broco torch.EWA W : I would recommend these for normal diving but not working on wrecks. I recommend getting a pair of cheap yard work gloves to wear over top them.HARGENS C : Yes I think they would hold up, I use them diving when I'm gold mining, they take a beating but they are very good gloves.JAMES K : Yes, durable, but bulky and difficult to get on. The wrist strap is also bulky, and accessing gear- even a knife- is not efficient. They are double sealed, and very warm when sealed properly, when not sealed properly, they are not as warm as one would think, and, the neoprene is soft on these, so there is a squishyness to them when they are saturated. If you get a good deal on them, just cut off the writs strap completely, and put dish soap in them before you put them on. But they are not very good.

Nice gloves but short in the fingers

I ordered these (in medium) over the holidays for an upcoming trip but sadly didn’t try them on until I started packing For my trip. Well made gloves but the fingers actually ran short in the ones I got so I returned them for credit. I wear medium gloves without fit issues so not sure if this pair was out of spec but otherwise these fit like the proverbial “glove”, and I wouldn’t want a larger size.

Pinnacle Neo 5 Glove, 5 mm

The gloves are warm and well made. I like Pinnacle as they make quality products. Just be aware, the sizes are smaller than they show as. I wear a XXL in a US made wetsuit but to fit into a Pinnacle suit, I have a XXXL. The sizing in New Zealand is different than the us. I never been disappointed in buying a Pinnacle product.

great deal tough glove

I use in cold NE waters off Cape Cod. This is my second pair. they take abuse real well. Grabbing bugs under rocks wears out the best gloves. these last the longest that I have tried so far.

Great gloves, my 3rd. pair

I am in the swimming pool service business, i use these gloves in the winter to keep my hands warm..this is my 3rd pair,they last about 1.5 years each.If you really want to stay warm go to 5mm,i don't want the bulk of 5mm....

Velcro gloves

My hands were cold diving with other gloves. Have not had that problem with these gloves. Pretty flexible for the thickness. Palm does not have any grip, which is okay unless you are trying to pull on something like a rope.

I like having my gloves thin enough to be able work underwater. I have been using 2 mil reef gloves diving Table Rock lake which works well until you hit about 60-80 ft range. This glove keeps my hands warm enough at 80 ft and I can still use my hands well.
