Shopper : Will these fit into most fin pockets?Steve S : Yes, these will fit into all fin pockets as long as you have the correct size fin.BOB G : I assume they will. I dive with Mares Avanti Quattro Plus and they fit just fine. I will warn you that the edges of the boot, where there is glue, will turn an unattractive yellowish brown.MARK H : Yes, but I'll be specific and say all open fin pockets (fins with straps) as opposed to fins that have pockets that enclose the entire foot. It all depends on the boot. Fin pocket sizes are pretty standard, but if you are on the border between fin sizes a 3mm boot may fit in a medium fin pocket but if you go to a 6mm boot may not fit in a medium fin pocket.
Shopper : Is the sole of this boot considered a "hard sole"?Steve S : No, this boot is a soft sole boot.BARRY B : NO. THIS IS A MEDIUM SOLE BOOT. IT WEARS GOOD WALKING IN GRAVEL PARKING LOTS AND ON SHELLS OR ROCKS..... BUT IT FITS YOUR FINS FOOT POCKET BETTER THAN A HARD SOLE........ A HARD SOLE NORMALLY TAKES A BIGGER FOOT POCKET THAN A SOFT OR MEDIUM SOLE BOOT, OR IT WILL FEEL LIKE IT STICKS OUT OF THE FIN TOO FAR.......CLARENCE B : Although thicker than a thin boat shoe only, I do not consider the sole on this boot as being a hard sole. The boots fit well in each of the various fin pockets I own or have tried.. Disappointed

I thought I had found a perfect boot.. the boot fit well,very comfortable and good protection. The quality out of the box seemed superior to other boots. 5 Starr boot so far. I only use this boot for early and late dive season. After about 15 dives the soles (both boots) started to separate around the edges. I got another 6 dives before the whole sole came off. Upon Examining the boot I found insufficient glue bonding the sole to the boot. I have bonding and inspection experience in aviation, I contaced Pinnacle and sent pictures per there request showing the lack of adhesive (very obvious). I’ve waited 2 weeks before writing this review hoping for a response. I guess costumer service is on par with the Boot.

I do mostly shore dives & the shore where I dive is treacherous. I wore my first pair of these for 150 dives. They aren't worn out yet, but I bought a second pair because the first ones are finally showing signs of wear and I'd hate to be without.

Excellent value and saves the feet.

Playing in 60 degree water makes for cold feet, keep the feet warm, the rest of the body follows. Some of the places I paddle and enter/leave the kayak can be pretty rough, these boots will definitely save the feet and are well fitting so entry and exit of the kayak is not difficult.

Solid Boot

I really like the boot and the price was great. The only issue I have is that I cannot fully zip the legs of my Pinnacle wetsuit over the boots. During my dives the leg zippers tend to unzip a bit.

Don't work with a full wetsuit

These booties are well made and solid, but the problem is they're too thick with the velcro flap and thick zipper to go under the pant leg of a full wetsuit. Yet, they're too snug in circumference to go on the outside too, making them unusable for someone wanting to use a full suit. If you use a shorty then go for it.

Nice but pricey

Good Boots

These boots are worth the money for the warmth they provide and once on they are quite comfortable. I do find them hard to get on and off as the zipper on the size is a bit 'stubbier' then I would have thought. Other then that, great boots.

Cramped in the toes

Really liked these boots, until I used them in the water. Toes felt cramped, boot feels a bit narrow and the hard rubber exterior does not flex well. After two dives in these my toes hurt so bad from kicking I was ready to go back to my old neoprene top booties which felt much less constrictive. If you have narrow feet, you might be OK. I found these to be some of the most uncomfortable booties I've ever worn, and I even had a size bigger than normal.

Bought this for my girlfriend as a gift. I wish there was a size chart for Men sizes vs Women sizes. I found a comparison chart on the internet so I could buy the right size for her and got lucky. Perfect fit!!! Just remember, these are listed in men's sizes. GREAT BOOTS!!

The Apex XT 6mm Titanium Lined Nylon 2 Neoprene Boot is a premium boot that features a sturdy rugged high traction sole that is strong enough to resist punctures from rocks, shells, and even glass. The sole has a low profile to enhance comfort and fit into any fin foot pocket on the market. The heel and toe caps are extremely strong and will protect the boot from wear and tear by the fin foot pocket. A heel lug will not allow fin strap slippage when fining.

Designed for cold water diving, with its gusseted #10-YKK locking zipper and hook and loop zipper flap to keep cold water out-and-away from ankle and seals the top of the boot keeping the zipper up. All the boots seams are glued and flat-lock stitched for strength and durability. Boot has a foxing strap over instep that provides tremendous lateral support, even when wet! Boots is black and gray in color and is available in multiple sizes.
