The pneumatically balanced Oceanic Zeo is an engineering marvel of precision, durability, & comfort. The cold forged, over-balanced diaphragm FDXi 1'st stage is environmentally sealed. The in-line design limits pressure loss making the FDXi more efficient & lighter due to its compact form. The balanced diaphragm is inherently environmentally sealed. None of the delicate internal parts are exposed-to-contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine, or pool acids. These contaminants can cause corrosion & mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance. A diaphragm first stage requires less-maintenance then regulators that allow contaminates to enter the internal mechanism.
FDXi 1'st stage regulator has a secondary diaphragm to completely seal-off the main spring cavity making it excellent for ice diving or diving in contaminated waters. The 1'st stage has 4-LP and 2-HP ports. The regulators angled ports provide ideal hose routing & improved flow rate over standard right-angle ports. The Zeo is a phenomenal breather allowing the diver extensive control over air flow at any depth. It incorporates a tough, corrosion resistant chrome plated marine brass valve that has better cold-water performance & even better breathing experience. The all-metal valve encourages condensation of water vapor. When you inhale that condensed water-vapor circulates w/the airflow helps to reduce "dry mouth" & increase overall level of comfort. The Zeo has dynamic adjustment technology, diver inhalation effort adjustment controls, dive/pre-dive switch, in-line ball swivel, 3/8" threaded MaxFlex 30" (76.2cm) hose & a comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece to reduce jaw fatigue. The regulator weighs 29.2 oz. (827.8g) w/o hose & is Nitrox compatible up to 40%.
The Alpha 10 Octopus 2'nd Stage: Pneumatically balance demand valve design for ease of breathing at all depths & cylinder pressures. Oceanics adjustment technology, dive/pre-dive venture control will prevent unwanted free flow when surface swimming, jumping off the back of a boat or diving in current & a super comfortable orthodontic mouthpiece with bite tabs increase dive enjoyment. The light weight 2'nd stage has a 2.66" (6.75cm) diameter. A durable & flexible yellow 36" (91.4cm)MaxFlex LP hose further increases diving comfort.
Maybe you've checked out women's specific BC's before at your local shop but never really got what the hype was about. Sure, they have different graphics & size ranges, but what is the real advantage of a women's specific BC?
The Oceanic HERA is built from the ground up for you designed specifically around the female form w/ample adjustments to make it your own, w/o sacrificing the features & functionality that the most discriminating diver's demand. This may just be the most comfortable, best fitting BC you have ever worn.
More than 300 female divers, instructors & Oceanic Dealers participated in a detailed survey to help develop the ultimate women's specific BC design. Time & time again, Oceanic heard what is lacking in today's BCs designed for women - you are looking for a BC designed to fit you, not a scaled down male BC. You are looking for a BC that is comfortable, contoured in all the right places, but one that does not sacrifice features or functionality. You want a BC that is travel friendly, yet rugged enough & packing the lift capacity required for daily local diving. And finally, you are looking for something w/a little style - preferably not just big swatches of pink or purple material. You ask for it - Oceanic delivers.
Oceanics patented custom fit harness is standard equipment on the HERA. With multi-position shoulder straps & cummerbund, the HERA delivers individual comfort for women of all shapes & sizes. The innovative design of the HERA allows the freedom of movement & other benefits you have come to expect from a rear inflation BC. However, the unique wrap around design of the air cell provides you more lift than most BC's; as well as an improved upright orientation when the BC is inflated on the surface.
The Oceanic HERA provide high lift with the XS delivering 20.46 lbs. (9.3kg) to the LG providing 40.7 lbs. (18.5kg) of lift. This hybrid air cell BCD is built to last w/a fadeless 500 denier nylon air cell & fadeless 1000 denier Cordura shoulder & pocket panels. The BCD comes w/Oceanics QLR4 integrated weight system & trim pockets w/QLR holding up to 20 lbs. (9kg) of hard or soft weight & the trim pockets having a capacity of 10 lbs. (4.5kg). Weight pockets are angled down slightly to aid self-loading, Oceanics patented QLR quick lock & release system keeps weight in position & stabile throughout the dive. The Weight pouches are simple to load & easy to release when you want to. Best of all, Oceanics patented positive lock system helps to ensure that they will stay put, the HERA BCD has a padded backpack & adjustable position sternum strap that is designed for maximum comfort. The BCD has generous zippered utility pockets for all your accessory needs. 2-pre-bent welded stainless-steel D-rings on the shoulders, multiple standard D-rings, integrated instrument retractor mount (retractor not included) & Spinner Knife (knife not included) mounting grommets on either the left or right, all for accessory attachment.
The Oceanic HERA has torso adjustable shoulder straps. The shoulder straps, waist strap & sternum strap all come equipped w/squeeze-style quick-release buckles for easy donning & doffing. The BCD also comes standard w/Oceanics patented adjustable depth compensating cummerbund. BCD comes equipped w/Oceanics Alliance Integrated Inflator. Ergonomically designed to be functional & easy to use in any dive position, the Alliance Integrated Inflator provides a full range of airway exhaust/inflation control. Simply press a button to produce precise flow for trimming dive attitude or maximum flow for major changes in buoyancy. A large exhaust valve creates a flow rate higher than the inflation rate of the power inflator, improving diver control during ascents. To add to your buoyancy, control the HERA has a right back pull-ball exhaust/overpressure relief valve & tight shoulder pull ball exhaust/overpressure relief valve. The BCD is also equipped w/a padded carry handle & tank positioning strap. The HERA comes w/a low pressure quick disconnect hose, is black in color, & includes an owner's manual.
The ProPlus 4.0 features the latest Bluetooth 4.0 technology. Now divers can adjust & customize all their dive features on the go pre-& post-dive. ProPlus 4.0 boasts a display area, wider font size, and 22% larger digits than its predecessor (ProPlus 3).
Air Time Remaining (ATR):
ATR feature calculates current depth, tank pressure, breathing rate, ascent time, & decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater. The computer displays ATR via numerical bar graph in addition to cylinder pressure. You may display ATR in oversized digits at any time w/press of a button.
Dive Time Remaining (DTR):
DTR, provides a 'real' number in minutes. This calculation combines ATR, nitrogen & oxygen absorption, displaying whichever allows less time. The computer has manual or automatic activation, triggered by water contact. A benefit of manual activation is easily verifying operation & cylinder pressure.
Audible alarms w/flashing LED warning light & acknowledgment:
The computer has a variety of system & user customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose potential danger, or simply serve as convenient reminders. You won't miss the ProPlus 4's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop.
Air or Nitrox:
The computer is easily programmed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 100%.
Personal Dive Computer Algorithm:
Pelagic Z+ offers a conservative approach to recreational diving or maximized bottom time for deep & decompression dives, maximizing dive times at depth w/o excessive penalties. Pelagic DSAT safely maximizes dive times for repetitive, multi-level recreational diving. Now you can even program several of Oceanics PDCs to do it for you w/Oceanics patent pending nitrogen bar graph alarm; set it once & let computer alert you when bar graph reaches that level.
Automatic Safety Stop Prompt:
A brief audible & visual alarm remind you as you approach 15' (4.6m), & an automatic 3-minute timer counts down to zero. As in any other dive mode, you still have access to other pieces of information, & there is no penalty should you choose to disregard the safety stop. Starting a dive, the computer displays current depth, dive duration & cylinder pressure. Simply press the button to see more information. Other features of the computer are: Fast set menu w/dual button operation, 12/24 hour format, date & time stamp, mode icons, graphic interface recognizable logic of green, yellow & red color-coding in conjunction w/bar graphs, the diver has at-a-glance information, automatically altitude adjusts up to 14K' (4,270m), diver replaceable CR2 battery, battery hot swap,24-hour fly countdown&calculated de-saturation time, variable ascent rate indicator, depth dependent ascent rate, SmartGlo backlightingfor low light conditions, 24 dive log book, optional Ocean-Log PC interface& PC upload, extended range gauge mode & much more!
