Favorite towel, but very hard to care for long-term

I have two of these as my only every-day towels, got them around 3 years ago adn they still perform just as well as on the first day. However, the one I got my husband is only about 1,5 years old, and it's gotten to the point where the towel has a stale, mildewy-smell even straight out of the washing machine. Since I can't use bleach on it, or wash it in high temperatures, there's really not much I can do besides tossing it and getting a new one, which is of course, disappointing and not sustainable.

I would purchase this product again.

I purchased this for my son for Christmas who already has one. He uses it when he and his family go camping. He told me it dries quickly and is compact, doesn't take up much room when packing for their weekend camping.

So many uses

One of the things I find this most useful for is that, when I get a leg cramp at home, I can run it under really hot water, wring it out and then wrap it around where the cramp is. Instant relief! However, the one I have is really old and I need to replace it but I don't see the same size listed here. It's about 8in x 32in...long and narrow. I like the original--seems to be made of felt--and I don't much like microfiber, so would prefer this. Did you discontinue that size or am I looking in the wrong place?

It finally stopped working

After about 10 years of use for a month or two each year on backpacks/cycle tours etc it finally lost it's odour-free quality. Apart from that it still behaves exactly as the manufacturer said in the ads, light weight, compact, excellent drying ability, no smell, quick drying for re-use. Perfect! I'll be buying a new one.
