Breathe Ambient Air While on Surface

If you own an OTS Guardian or Interspiro AGA Full Face Mask (FFM) see SKU's: OTSGFM, OTSGFMEM, OTSGFMBD2, AGAFFM and spend time on the surface in a ready mode, you know that you can waist a lot of air with your FFM on your face. The ABV-2 Ambient Breathing Valve allows the user to breathe ambient air at the surface, conserving tank air. It is simple to use, and its low profile keeps it out-of-the-way.
The Ambient Breathing Valve (ABV) is designed to conserve the diver's air while on the surface. This is not a snorkel. Generally, when diving with a full-face mask, the diver is breathing off a scuba bottle. With the ABV, the diver can breathe ambient air without removing his/her FFM. There is a check valve on the inside of the ABV which allows air to enter the valve only; air is exhaled out through the regulator. This also prevents gas from escaping through the ABV should it be open underwater. Operating the ABV is simple. If you rotate the valve counterclockwise, you will breathe ambient air. If you have the valve rotated fully clockwise, it will be closed, and you will breathe off your scuba bottle.
