The comfort and mobility of this suit is extraordinary. In 58 degree air and water, with no wind, plus sun and six-foot waves, wearing gloves and booties (no hood), I was warm in the water and hot in the sun while out of the water. Neck seal is good. Restrictions to mobility are minimal, if they exist at all. I don't notice them. I'm 6'3" under 175 pounds and 55 years old. The MT fits very well and getting in / out is easy if you're not sweaty. So get it on quickly before it starts to warm you up. When this suit is dry, it's very light. When it's wet, it's elastic under its own weight. Rinsing it is a strange experience. I imagine it's like hosing down an octopus - the limbs feel almost gummy and stretch so readily it seems like it wouldn't hold shape, but it does. If the picture shows up with this review, look at how the sleeve covers my watch. It's almost like the material was sprayed onto my body. Keep Velcro away from it (bodyboarders with bicep leashes be careful or wear a compression sleeve under the strap to protect the arm material - Velcro will hurt the material instantly). That's why I'll endorse the chest zip version of this suit as superior to the back zip - no Velcro. Plus the zipper placement is excellent - I don't notice it on my chest. Actually, when it's on, everything about this suit - except the warmth - is hard to notice. Well done.

Fits perfectly, but definitely tight across the chest/shoulders. Works well and wanted to try out a front zip. Bit for ease of use, I will probably stick with back zip going forward.

I got this suit back in May, when the water was still rather chilly here in the Northeast. Things are warmed up early this morning I was out for an early morning eFoiling session with. Both of us in our O'Neill wetsuits. My Hyperfreak fire is just so easy to get on and off and so comfortable that here I am on September 1st just enjoying the extra warmth and security when I head out into the deep water. My friend, who was wearing an older suit, needed a little help getting those arms out :-). No regrets, love the suit!

This wetsuit is wonderful. Has last me 3 years surfing at least 50 times a year. Kept me warm in Aomori prefecture off the coast of Misawa in japan all year round. Boots and a hood were a need, but this was comfortable even with them. After bulking up to 200 lb the large is a bit snug but does the job. Thinking of moving up to the xl now. At 5'11.

This is my 2nd wetsuit. My first wetsuit was a back zip (an O'neill) and didn't get much use before I got too fat. This time I used the fit guide and it got my a perfect fit. It is super soft, very comfortable as no pinch or stuck limbs or material are noticed while using it. I don't get a big flushed like the back zip, and it's super easy to take off compared to my older one. My only fear is that the material is so soft that I will tear it somehow.

Medium fits me great. It's winter in San Diego and it keeps me plenty warm (which is great because I run a little cooler than most). Dries relatively quickly. Three months in and the tape covering the seams looks great, no peeling at all. Slightly hard to get on/off but this is literally the only incovenience (a small one at that) that I have experienced. Will not regret purchase!

Flexible, warm, and fits good. I initially ordered a small, but it's was just a little small on me, so I sized up and the Medium is perfect. It looks like any standard wetsuit, performs well, and I'm really excited to keep using it this winter. Hopefully these first impressions last??

This is my fourth Oneill suit. I get a new one maybe every 4 or 5 years. Anyways, I want to comment for those who fall in the unknown zone of being tall, but skinny. I'm 5'11" and a half, but 152 pounds. I've consistently been super happy with oneill's medium sizing for 15 years. I needed a new suit, so I went to the Surf Staion here in St. Augustine to see what they had in stock. I wanted a 4/3, and this one was of the 2 options they had in medium so I bought it. Got home, tried it on, and was like, "damn, this thing feels tighter and shorter than my other oniell suits." So I went back and swapped it for a medium tall. Now im like, "damn, this thing fits awesome." it's not baggy at all and I'm under the suggested weight range too. Overall, I love this suit. Additional comment. This is my first chest zip. It's a little more cumbersome to get in and out of. I never had any complaints about my past suits with the classic back zip. I'm guessing i'll get more used to it over time. Thanks o'neill! I'm staying warm all day as I drop in on locals yelling, "my wave." Side note. Don't make any jokes with the staff at Surf Station. They take being serious real serious.

Wetsuit is the best! So flexible, warm and comfortable. I used it for the first time two weeks ago on a surf trip in Big Sur where the water was 55 degrees and waves were pumping, it was amazing. Highly recommend buying an O'Neill wetsuit, it's worth the money. Thank you for making the best. ????

Fit is perfect and snug I'm 5'11 185lbs and an XL is perfect. I already have a small rip from spearfishing but nothing of any real concernconcern. Great suit for Atlantic diving and definitely has a large temperature range available. Excited to see this suit continue to perform.

Excellent quality! Fit is perfect! Very comfortable, a trick I learned to get it on easier... put a plastic bag over each foot as you put it on. Allows you to push your foot all the way through very easily. I just keep one large zip lock bag with the zip part cut off in the pocket of my changing poncho.

Love the suit. This is a fair amount tighter / compressing than my Hyperfreak chest zip 3/2+ LT. I'd probably go bigger knowing this. I'm sure it will stretch, but it is noticeably snug.

I'm 5'5" 185lbs and lean. This suit fits amazing. Its relatively lite weight and easy to get into. The front zipper is too easy. However my broad inflexible shoulders make it very difficult to get out of. Velcro sticks to the sleeves like glue. If not careful this could be a wear problem over time. I would recommend this to a friend and buy another.

Water finally cool enough (62 degrees)to give this a try. When I first tried it on I thought that it was too tight of a fit. However, once I got in the water I knew right away that this wetsuit was far superior to my three year old Rip CurlFlash Bomb. Super comfortable. Love the snug fit around the neck where water always gets in.

This wetsuit checked all the boxes and performed better than expected. It's light weight, SUPER flexible (at least as flexible as a 2mm spring suit), warmer than expected and the ideal winter wetsuit for Southern California. I highly recommend this wetsuit and would definitely purchase again. I actually own this wetsuit in 3/2 and now 4/3+. Each are my go to suits for the appropriate water temps.
