This is my 3rd stainless backplate and my second OMS plate.Smooth edges are a plus. Good value. Stainless is good quality - holds up and doesn't show rust. Often dive with only a few weights in my pocket (to add to students rigs) and with no wetsuit really no need for weights.

Excellent complement, can't use the OMS Harness without this back plate and Carrie out a 10+10 bi-bottle.

I use an backplate and wings as my everyday dive setup. Provides great stability and takes weight off of your hips. Typical OMS high quality. A note of caution when used in warm water: the backplate itself may be enough negative buoyancy by itself that you do not use any dump-able ones. The aluminum version may be a better choice if you are mostly in warm waters.

Great way to get a little weight off the belt. Looking to double it up next and drop some more weight.

Good steel, good weight, nice edges.

OMS's superior de-burring process eliminates back plate sharp edges, and prevents abrasion and cuts to webbing and BC's. The Stainless Back Plate weighs only 4.85 lbs. (2.2 kg) and include the following slots: 1" and 2" (2.54 cm and 5.1 cm) width crotch strap, (2) cam band, and a bottom slot to accommodate band bolts that are slightly off 11" (27.94 cm) on center. Stainless steel plate is passivated to prevent oxidation and now incorporates additional slots to mount cam bands for single cylinder configuration. Plate has 22 holes for flexibility in accessory mounting.
