This is a double environmentally sealed balanced first stage made by the same company that makes the Neptune FFM and the attached second stage. Good product

I achieved the PADI Full Face Mask specialty using the Ocean Reef Neptune Space full face mask. I was diving with it attached to another 1st stage. After the dive I realized that the Ocean Reef 1st stage was critical to the best performance of the mask, so I bought this one. The entire Ocean Reef full face mask system is the finest that I have ever used. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants the best dive experience possible.

The entire Ocean Reef full face mask system is the finest that I have ever used. I strongly recommend it to anyone who wants the best dive experience possible.

The Ocean Reef high performance balanced diaphragm 1st-stage regulator is specifically designed for use with the Neptune Space Full Face Mask (see SKU's: OEDNSG, PCKNSG, OEDNSGK). The regulators use a diaphragm design to create an environmentally sealed mechanism to ensure durability and high performance even in contaminated water. The balanced diaphragm, chrome plated marine brass first stage regulator is inherently environmentally sealed. The benefit of this type of first stage design is that none of the delicate internal parts are exposed to contaminants such as salt, sand, chlorine or pool acids. These environmental contaminants can cause corrosion and mineral deposits to form on the internal mechanism deteriorating regulator performance.

With the SL35TX there is a Secondary Environmental Diaphragm Membrane that seals off the spring chamber keeping the first stage completely sealed off from the environment adding a second layer of corrosion resistance and prevention of freezing in cold water use. The regulator has an adjustable intermediate pressure to meet varying supply pressure requirements. The body of the regulator is made of marine grade brass with a satin body finish and internally has a stainless-steel piston, Teflon seat, and stainless-steel spring. Standard yoke connection 3000 psi (200 bar) with 2 high pressure ports 7/16-20 UNF and 4 low pressure ports 3/8-24 UNF with a superior flow rate of approx. 170 cubic feet per minute (4800 l/m) at 2030.5 psi (140 bars).

First-Stage is not Nitrox compatible out of the box.
