Thanks in advance.JOE S : Weights do not come with any BC straight from the manufacturer and most destinations will have weight for you to use or rent. If you were traveling with weights in the pouches, then I can see why TSA would be confused and think it was something different.Mario C : Wow what an odd story... Caribbean TSA should be pretty familiar with Scuba gear, anyhow, might had been a rookie... To answer your question... weights are not included with the pouch
Tudor T : Would this fit the Aeris 5 Oceans BCD ?JOE S : It will not work with the 5 Oceans. That particular BC uses the QLR 2 pockets from Oceanic. Oceanic Part Number 08-0093-02. The QLR 3 pockets as noted in the previous message will not work either. The QLR 3 pockets are a previous version of the QLR4. The QLR3 had a weakness in the handle so it was reinforced, changed color and called the QLR4 to distinguish the difference.DAVID S : If they had the qlr 3 they will.

I do not believe the pockets for the Bioflex BC are supported any longer. Is it an actual Bioflex BC or is it just using the bioflex materials in it? Oceanic uses bioflex material in several newer style bc's.

handle broke off, other design flaws

These came with my new Oceanic Hera BCD. I find the locking mechanism very stiff. It is very difficult to put the full pouches into the BCD, and also hard to pull out in the water. Worst of all, however, is that the plastic handle is very fragile. One broke off while transporting the gear to the dive site. I used it anyways, to save the dive, but it is impossible to remove the pouch from the BCD without special equipment (a wrench).

replace your weight pockets!

somehow I lost a weight pocket on a dive and did not notice until I surfaced... must have been overweighted! check your BCD to ensure these are the proper weight pockets for your BC. They fit my Oceanic Hera perfectly, just like the ones it came with originally. now we have a spare in case my husband lises a weight pocket

Handle made the same as the qlr3.

These are the new version and fit in the qlr3 as well. I was replacing my qlr3 due to the pull handle breaking off. I definitely think that part could have been made better. The new ones seem to be made the same. The bcd is probably the best vest I have owned, and I have a night hawk as well. The handle that you pull on has a weak spot and after a couple years start to dry rotted and crack. I routinely left my pockets on the boat though. I will start keeping with the best and see how long they last this time.

Oceanic's weight pocket utilizes patented QLR Quick Lock Release System that is standard equipment on their BCD's. Your weights stay-in-position throughout the dive and do not shift around affecting buoyancy or position in the water. The new QLR 4 design has incorporated a stiffer backing plate, longer guide and an even more rugged locking mechanism over the QLR 3 weight pockets. It also has a retractable D-ring to assist in loading full weight pockets. The weight pockets are simple to load and easy to release. Best of all, Oceanic's positive lock system helps to ensure that they'll stay put. The weight pocket has 10 lbs. (4.5 kg) weight capacity for each pocket 20 lbs. (9 kg) total. The pockets are made from durable 1680-RG and 1000 Cordura material. The Pouches have a Velcro closure to secure weights. Pockets are designed for use with Oceanic BCD's: Excursion, Ocean Pro, Hera (see SKU's; OCNEN, OCNOP, OCNOP4, OCNHRN).
