Nice console. Compact, easy to access vital info quickly. Would recommend for good, basic all-around rec diving.

Easy to use, easy to read. Worked just as anticipated, was a great replacement for my old unit.

Being a wrist device provided location flexibility which was soooo much better than on a console. Slight learning curve - But took out the guess work and figuring tables. This unit worked better than expected for multiple dives and staying out of decomp status. The only 'not positive' feature is no backlight. At night it was still easy to see as most people use a light at night - Just Saying! For the Price and Leisure Pro's excellent service, I am very satisfied!

Very nice and simple. Does not have illumination which limits its usefulness. I use it as a backup computer to my ProPlus 3. Overall a nice setup for a new duvet or as a backup.

Let me start by saying that, for someone with good eyesight in the daytime in clear water, this is probably all the computer you need for recreational diving. Thus, it gets 3 stars to begin with. I bought two last winter: wrist mount for me and console for my wife. We have probably 50 dives on them now--Cozumel, Galapagos and Grand Turk. My wife loves hers--I am somewhat ambivilent. I would like to see slightly larger depth and dive time numbers, but that is just the way it is, I guess. I did find the absense of a back-light, or even a glow screen, a handicap in night dives while balancing a camera and trying to read my depth. I guess the main computer is pretty much standard, but be wary of replacing the battery. You have to twist off a pressure plate that just doesn't want to let go. Once that is off, everything just falls out. To re-seal the battery, you have to hold a clear cap with the o-ring down forecefully over the battery, while simultaneously turning the pressure plate to snap it in. Invariably, the o-ring will slip off the cap and the cap will squirt sideways before you can snap in the pressure plate. Then you start over--and over--and over again. I worked on this thing for more than an hour before I was confident about taking it underwater (correction: I was so irritated that I didn't care if the dam thing flooded, so I just went with it). So why was I replacing the battery after less than 50 dives over a 5 month period? Because it ran out. My wife's is still running fine, so that probably means I got one with a battery that was already run down. I could not see any evidence that I got a pre-owned computer, but one wonders....

I have owned this product for use in rescue diving for my fire department since august of 2012 and have logged 68 dives. I have compared this to several different styles and models and by far this is the best that I have seen. This has all the advance features of a more expensive dive computer with the simplicity of one button use. This one button can be overwhelming at first but it becomes very easy to use after 10 minutes self exploration of the controls. I have dived with this computer in 45 degrees and deep depths and it easy to use and read. I want to point out that the best feature is that it can be set to auto activate upon water entry. This is extremely important for rescue dives. I also like the ability to log each dive with the computer. I would highly recommend this product not only for recreational use, but for rescue as well.

A very easy to use computer. The functions are intuitive, and I felt that the single button was an asset.

The tag line says it all. This is the perfect computer for at least 90% of the recreational divers out there. The algorithm is relatively liberal compared to most rec. computers but well conservative compared to Technical Computers. The 1 button operation is simple to use and understand. And you almost never need more than 1 gas mix on a rec. dive. Simple easy to understand display while diving that includes a safety stop timer. I've used it on one trip to Cozumel at depths ranging to 127 ft and included one required deco dive (killing pesky lionfish) and it worked flawlessly.

This is the first SCUBA computer I've owned, but It has all the features I need, and more. I dive on air, but if I learn Nitrox later it's ready. I LOVE that it can switch between algorithms. Also, being an older guy, I like that it starts and stops itself without me having to remember (grin; ever forget to start your watch when you dropped off the boat?). The manual is not great, in fact is rather confusing. The on-line class that was packaged with it made everything very clear though. It shipped complete with scratch guard and battery tool, very nice, but you'll want to order the Oceanic battery kit with O-ring and keep it in your spares kit, bagged with the tool!

Very easy to use computer, manual easy to understand, easy to read, reliable, whit dual algorithm. The problem is that it has not light or sound alarm, so you have to look at it all the time. It will be a good computer for the money is cost.

The Oceanic VEO 1.0 is a Solid Basic Dive Computer designed for Air or Single Gas NITROX Mixes up to 50%. It Displays Only-Essential Information during the Dive in Easy-to-Read Digits; uses Effective-Bar Graphs to present Nitrogen Loading and Ascent Rate; and offers useful features like an Automatic Safety Stop Countdown Timer that ticks off three minutes when you ascend to 15' (4.6 meters). A Single Push Button is all that's required to Navigate-the-Settings and the Sequences are Intuitive with help from the Excellent Owner's Manual and Waterproof Prompt Card.
