SHANNON R : is the band on the back sewn - like a belt loop?  No photos of the back of these things.  Want them secure, not velcro.Linda H : Yes the strap on back is sewn on.MICHAEL C : The back loop is sewn on and I found them to be very secure with 4lb weights in each. I wouldn't do velcro either - particularly for this application. Since they are sewn on, I had to undo the tank strap to get them on, but it will be a "set it and forget it".
David C : If i were to want to mount to my Biolite waist strap of my BCD as a utility pocket would that be possible? Does it have a loop on the back to attach it or is it velcro?Daryl K : Was that an answer, as a utility pocket for other than weights. Personally I think that is a good idea. If you are asking if the trim pocket on the cam band comes off and can be used on the waist band, you could technically do it since it has webbing to slide the cam/waist belt through, but this pocket is not meant for that. You would be better off purchasing a pocket that is made for a waist belt webbing and zippers or velcro which is a little easier to manipulate than the trim pockets are.

Great weight pockets

Well made with stitched straps to attach to cam-bands. I've put as much as six pounds in these and use them almost every dive to counterbalance a pony tank or when using wetsuits.

Initial Use of Oceanic Tank Pouches

I recently purchased these for a (drift) dive trip to West Palm Beach and in an attempt to improve my trim. They worked very well! While they can accommodate up to 5lb weights, I only used 4lbs in each pouch. They are sewn-on back loops and you merely have to undo your tank strap to "set it and forget it".
