When you buy your own equipment and it works so well, your time in the water is enhanced. These fins along with the boot were the most comfortable fins ive used. While I an a novice snorkeler, I couldnt be happier with the equipment I bought. I may have paid more for the better stuff but it was well worth it. Ive got many years coming up of great snorkeling. Thanks for your help.

I loved the product until I lost the clip that the strap clips into on the rear side of the fin. While removing my find in the ocean behind the dive boat, I unclipped the strap from the side of the fin. Little did I know that the part that attaches to the fin must have come off and fallen into the depths of Cozumel's San Francisco Wall -- littering in a National Park as well! Yikes! Now one of my fins are useless with out a strap! Help!

These are great fins, they are very lightweight and flexible. Sized apropriately. They work great in the pool while swimming and snorkeling or scuba diving.

Great feel and comfortable. My last fins gave me leg cramps and were not efficient. When using these fins it did not cramp my legs. These fins are very efficient and it does not take many kicks or much effort to really get moving. I did some swimming against a current and surge and it did not require much effort to make headway.

I have used it for 5 dives andI can tell, really good stuff, the size and weight are perfect to travel and it has a cool design. It press a little bit my big toe, but nothing to concern about, I minimize it using a pair of socks/boots.

Used for the first time on 8 dives in Dominican Republic. Very comfortable. Hardly knew I had them on. Move me through the water nicely...no cramps!

I tried this Viper fins because my Atomic fins are too long and heavy, very cumbersome to travel. The Vipers are very light but my toe hit the inside of the fin, for this reason I sold them to my buddy, I have problems with my toe even on big shoes for walking, I wish Oceanic modify the fins and provide open toe like the Atomics. So for now I will keep using the Atomic fins (a lot more expensive).

If you want a fexible good looking fin this is for you. I do not feel confortable when finning in a current with these fins. Use them once could not move in mediun current. Same dive with a different fin I had no problem. Great for snorkling

I purchased these fins for my wife who is a beginner diver. The size and design result in a fin that is not overly strenuous. She did have issues with a fin continuously falling off in open water dives. However Oceanic's tech department recommended checking that the straps were fully anchored on the posts. One was not quute fully locked in which was causing the cam to slip on the strap and the fin would slip off. It is fine now.

These fins provide excellent thrust and are flexible enough to be easy on the ankles and feet! I recommend them to anyone!

I am new to scuba diving but I have used these fins now for several dives and they are effective and comfortable. I have ordered the spring straps for these fins to make them easier to get on and off. Great buy for the cost!

My only issue is that they are quite large for being an X-small and I have to cinch down the heel strap so much to keep my foot in the pocket that my toes rub inside.

Provide great kicking power. Enough so that I often find myself kicking far less often than my dive buddies to go at the same pace. Very comfortable, and cramping hasn't been a problem. My only complaint is that the included dive straps kept slipping off of the heel of my booties. Thankfully, the fins fit snug enough that they stayed on long enough for me to notice before they came all the way off. I bought the EZ Spring Straps and they solved all my problems.

I've been using this fin for a couple weeks now and I must say that it does what it's supposed to. It is a great fin for scuba that doesn't cause fatigue in your legs and it pushes you along quite well, considering you know how to use your fins. The material seems to hold up well and they have a nice feature that allows you to clip the heel straps shut instead of adjusting it all the time. I have not used this fin in a current, but have used in cold water. These fins are neutrally buoyant so they will not mess with your buoyancy at all. All in all a great fin for the price and I recommend it. You won't be disappointed if you are looking to upgrade from older fins, or are just looking from something new.

I had a pair of fins that are similiar in style for 20 years and never had a problem. Wanted to upgrade to a more flexible pair of fins and broke on day # 3 of diving. Not an aggressive diver and I consider myself advanced. 400 plus dives.

Great fins! I used them in cold water lake during my Open Water Diver course and will use them in Mexico this year. I especially like fins' quick-release feature and ease of adjusting - they come in handy when you've already got 2 tanks on, wetsuits, and all your gear in the water and then can put the fins on easily with one hand. Highly recommended!

Just returned from St. Thomas after 10 days. Dove with marine biologists for 5 of those. 4 divers, 20 double tanks a day. Serious marine surveys around the USVI. Future son-in-law in the works. After a few dives with my new Vipers, I can agree with other users that they are light, flexible, stronger in currents than my split fins, and don't tire out my knees after 6-8 hours of diving a day. Also, they don't smack into each other or go wacky in strong currents like my splits either. Some have said they are not as rigid as others. For me, this is a plus. I can dive all day, every day, and not feel any strain on my legs or knees while having excellent propulsion. They are large though and won't fit into a carry on. Had to put them in my main suitcase. I highly recommend these fins if you are going for a vacation and intend to dive intensely while you are there. You won't regret this purchase. Oh yeah, I am over 60 years old.

Just completed 10 dives in the Caymans, 3 in stronger currents. These fins allowed me to maneuver quickly and efficiently around in tunnels, swim throughs and other tight areas. Very comfortable! Having been prone to cramping with last fins, this issue was eliminated for me. Delivers nice power. Take their recommendations for sizing. I was doubtful at first, but after first try-on, fears were put to rest.

These fins are just great all around. Fast, easy flex, comfortable to wear. My feet are pretty wide and these fins fit perfectly. Usually I have to order a couple of extra sizes bigger just to get the right width. But these were already fairly wide for the size and feel just right (with a 3mm hard-sole bootie). I've done about 6 dives in them so far. One dive was in a strong current and they made it feel like I was swimming in a pool.

Just purchased the fins and am very pleased with them. After 20+ ocean dives in moderate to strong currents, I would recommend these fins, as they are comfortable and responsive, even though the blades seem to have a lot of flex.

I bought these from a local dealer and have not looked back. They are hands down the fastest non-split fin I have ever used. I love them. If you do not want to spend hundreds on a split fin, you aren't going to find anything better.

I wear size 10 shoes, and bought the large set of fins to use with boots and was to big. I rated the size big, becuase they seemed a little to big for even a size 11 shoe. So if you wear a 10 go with a medium.

So fast and responsive they're scary, the Oceanic Viper Vented Open Heel Fins are a precision blend of hydrodynamics and materials technology for ultimate comfort, efficiency and performance. Fins are manufactured from a composite material consisting of blended of thermal plastic rubber (TPR) and polypropylene. The Viper blade's flexible power thrust channel directs water off the tip of the blade for improved power and efficiency.
The engineered channels and side rails work in concert. Together they further enhancing the direct water flow off the tips of the fin without allowing water to "spill" from the sides of the blade providing uncompromising power and efficiency. The fin blade power vents reduce stress while accelerating water over the blade, allowing the use of an oversized blade design to produce increased thrust and propulsion. The Viper Open Heel Fins are ideal for all diving and snorkeling skill levels has a generous yet streamline foot pocket that fits a wide range of boot styles while significantly reducing drag.
Donning and Doffing is made easy with the quick-adjust straps with squeeze style" side-release buckles and large pull tab holes in straps for grip. The pull tab holes also allow a convenient manner to hang your fins when drying and for storage. Fins are a great travel fin weighing only 4 lbs. (1.81 kg), are available in in multiple sizes and color choices.
