I love this computer. It does everything I want it to do. Specifically, it keeps track of nitrogen loading and bottom times and adjusts your surface interval times and no deco times accordingly so you can safely plan your next dive. With the large display, it?s great for my not so perfect vision. One quick glance and I can see everything it displays. Easy to navigate through menu items with two button operation. It?s large and with an attached hp hose, it?s not as streamlined as a wrist computer, but I use a strong retractor to hold it tight to my bc and have no issues with it dangling loosely across the bottom. It?s also rather easy to replace the battery without sending it in for service. Only issue I?ve had is with the pc link I bought to download my dives to my laptop. I have trouble downloading the data, in fact I?ve had no luck at all, but it could be my fault since I?ve got an old laptop and I?m not tech savvy at all. Overall, I love this computer and highly recommend it.

2 Reviews First Leisure Pro I was going out with Olympus Dive Center in N.C. in six days and my Pro Plus 2 bit the dust. I found the Pro Plus 3 on Leisure Pro's website. But I wanted to know if I could get it in time ? The next day I call them and they said yes but it was no longer on sale. ( $ 50.00 More ) He put me on hold. Came back on the line and told me it was on the way and I got it at the sale price. ( 5 Stars ) The Pro Plus 3 I have a Pro Plus 2 that I just sent back to Oceanic for service. I got it used from a dive shop in Richmond Va. Ten years ago. It had never bin serviced. Just change the battery and go. ( 180 Dives + ) If I get this service out of the Pro Plus 3 I will be happy. Due to the weather in N.C. we only got one day of diving in. But in that short time I did like that the computer was not hard to setup and the Pro Plus 3 opened a window on the safety stop so you could see the 3 minute clock. On the 2 you have to look for it. In October I will be doing 13 days on the sea of Coretz we will see how it doze then.

Leisure Pro has gone beyond my expectations. It shipped out on June 11 and arrived on the 14th to Hong Kong. They answered all my questions promptly and were very knowledgeable. Haven't gotten to dive with it yet, but when I do, I'll give a full review. Thank you Leisure Pro for your help and existing. Rick Instructor

I like the computer for its large screen but mostly for its dual algorithm......What I don't like is the fact that the main screen does not include actual bottom time.... I have used many computers and find this so wrong.... I actually went and bought a dive watch.......... No excuse for that , otherwise, I do like the computer.....

Over all a good computer. Been diving since 1996, PADI AOW, Rescue, Nitrox, Dry Suit, Mine diver. Device a little clumsy when trying to review dive log manually in that you cant go fwd/bck, just fwd so if you miss a particular dive you must scroll through the entire database to get back to the dive you were looking to review; minor irritant. My biggest disappointment was this summer after making several dives (100+ ft), on a relatively shallow dive in the Adriatic Sea it leaked water and crashed, lost several dives in log. I was hoping to get many more years of service from this device.

Purchased the Oceanic as a replacement for my wife's Suunto. The set up instructions are clear, easy to understand, easy to work through the settings. The large number display is very helpful for aging eyes: easy to read at depth.

This is a great computer. Provides all information needed from beginner to advanced diver. The only negative is that the back light is not very bright and can make difficult to read in certain environments. However, the battery will last for a long time. I have purchased 3 of them for my family.

The unit itself is gorgeous and I love it. My husband got me this for my birthday. But mine had an internal flaw and broke, fortunately under warranty. But the replacement they sent... is also defective and one of the buttons doesn't work. I am really not impressed with tbeir quality control. And I'm out a computer for now 2 months..

I first have to say that Leisure Pro is awesome! I ordered the 2.1 but as that model went out of stock they automatically send me the 3! When I called in to let them know I received an updated model, they were more than happy to tell me that they upgraded me at no additional cost. There was not even a delay in shipping. Excellent customer service and you just don’t see that anymore these days. Purchased this dive computer for a recent dive trip and it worked flawlessly. Was easy to program, stores all of the dive information, and is universal so it was able to easily be put onto a rental BCD/regulator. The sound is just loud enough to be hurt by not annoying or audible to anyone else and less they are right next to you.

I bought my first one because of the good reviews and happy customers. I bought my second one because my Son needed one and I was a happy customer, first hand and needed another quality, dependable dive computer for him at a good price. Thank you Leisure Pro.

Great unit for us old fogies

This is a great upgrade to an already great computer. It allows you to progress to a higher level with the addition of 3 gases 2 alogrythims. The main thing that has made these very popular of course is the display. They have the most easy to read uncluttered display available making them the ideal choice for those of us with fading vision. A quick glance is all it takes to get the info you need and the big numbers even make it easy for your buddy to read. The red LED is also a great visual f...

Awesome

I can't say enough of how awesome the Pro plus 3 is. this was my first dive computer, and after a lot of research I chose this one because of the large screen, reliability, and changable algorithm. I've taken this down to about 130 feet with no technical malfunctions.the general layout of the dive computer gives you all of the essential information that you need so you don't have to keep changing menus and or pressing other buttons. you have your depth, PSI, remaining airtime, non-decompress...

No more squinting. Dive Computers are supposed to deliver crucial data quickly and w/o confusion. Oceanic agrees. That is why the Pro-Plus 3 combines a huge display area, the largest most legible digits on the market and an intuitive user interface w/major feature enhancement. See it for yourself. Take the Oceanic challenge: When shopping for a new dive computer, compare the displays. When it comes to viewing critical information, which would you rather see at 100' (30m)?
Air Time Remaining (ATR):
The Air Time Remaining feature calculates current depth, tank pressure, breathing rate, ascent time, & decompression status to tell you exactly how much time you can remain underwater. The Pro Plus 3 continually displays ATR via a numerical bar graph in addition to cylinder pressure. You may also display ATR in oversized digits at any time with the press of a button.
Dive Time Remaining (DTR):
Dive Time Remaining, like ATR provides a 'real' number in minutes. This calculation combines ATR, nitrogen, and oxygen absorption, displaying whichever allows less time. Is it a good idea to check your computer before entering the water? You bet. Could you forget to activate your computer? Sure. The Pro Plus-3 features push button or automatic activation, triggered by water contact. A benefit of push button activation is easily verifying operation and cylinder pressure, but in case you forget, or simply choose not to activate your computer, it can be as simple as jumping in the water.
Audible alarms w/flashing LED warning light & acknowledgment:
The Pro Plus 3 features a variety of system & user customized audible alarms, alerting you to situations that pose a potential danger, or simply serve as a convenient reminder. Have you ever had difficulty hearing your computer's audible alarm? Perhaps that little beep signifying a potentially dangerous situation was timed perfectly with some large exhaust bubbles rushing past your ears. Or maybe it seemed to be insignificant as that huge manta ray soared overhead. You won't miss the Pro Plus 3's audible alarm. Once triggered, the alarm will sound continuously for 10 seconds. Oceanic knows what you are thinking That's nice, I'll definitely hear the alarm, but isn't that going to annoy me and everyone else in the water?" Oceanic thought of that too. The alarm's job is to get your attention so that you look at the computer. Once it does that, simply press the button and it will stop. You are a responsible diver and Oceanic treats you that way. If you really want to exceed your pre-set maximum depth alarm by a couple of feet to capture that award-winning photograph go ahead!
Air or Nitrox:
The Pro Plus 3 acts simply as an Air" computer until you tell it otherwise, whether that is this weekend or 2 years down the road. As your training and experience grow, the Pro Plus 3 is designed to grow with you, being easily programmed for Nitrox mixtures from 21% to 100%.
Oceanic Personal Dive Computer Algorithm:
Decompression theory can be trusted only as far as it has been demonstrated by actual test dive data. In 1987 a unique series of experiments were conducted by Diving Science and Technology (DSAT). Commissioned by the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), these doppler ultrasound monitored human experiments conducted by Dr. Michael Powell produced the most comprehensive data set that exists for recreational divers to this day. These data were used to validate the PADI Recreational Dive Planner & are the basis of the algorithm used in all Oceanic personal dive computers (PDCs). The ultimate adjustable algorithm that is the way divers, instructors and Oceanic Pro Dealers refer to Oceanic PDCs. Oceanic's color coded bar graphs provide complete control of your margin of safety for each dive. Want to be a bit more cautious? Make it a personal rule to never enter the yellow caution zone, or stay one pixel away, or you get the point. Now you can even program several of Oceanic's PDCs to do it for you with Oceanic's patent pending nitrogen bar graph alarm; set it once & let computer alert you when bar graph reaches that level.
Automatic Safety Stop Prompt:
A brief audible & visual alarm remind you as you approach 15' (4.6m), & an automatic 3-minute timer counts down to zero. As in any other dive mode, you still have access to other pieces of information, & there is no penalty should you choose to disregard the safety stop.
Choose Your Dive Mode Display:
The new Pro Plus 3 is as versatile underwater as it is topside. Upon starting your dive, the Pro Plus 3 will simply display your current depth, how long you can stay & cylinder pressure. While many divers have asked for such simplicity & ease of use, you know that with all the Pro Plus 3's features, there must be more. And there is. Simply press the button to see more information. Is this information important to you on a full-time basis? Leave it there. Just want to check it & then move on to another display? You can do that too. It is up to you & your Pro Plus 3.
Other features of the Pro Plus 3 are: Fast set menu w/dual button operation, 12/24 hour format, date & time stamp, user friendly mode icons, graphic user interface recognizable logic of green, yellow and red color-coding in conjunction w/bar graphs, the diver has at-a-glance information, automatically compensation for altitude up to 14,000' (4,270m), diver replaceable CR2 battery, battery hot swap, 24-hour fly countdown and calculated de-saturation time, variable ascent rate indicator, depth dependent ascent rate, SmartGlo backlighting for low light conditions, 24 dive on-unit log book, optional Ocean-Log PC interface & PC upload, extended range gauge mode & much more!
The Oceanic Pro Plus 3 can display in imperial or metric measurements, has an operational depth of 330' (100m), displays pressure from 0 to 5,000 psi (0 to 352 bars) & displays temperature from 0 Degree to 99 Degree F (-9 Degree to 60 DegreeC), comes in a durable impact resistant case w/attachment points for lanyards or clips w/a 7/16" threaded HP hose, & owner's manual.
The SideScan is a dual-purpose liquid filled compass. The Side Scan window allows quick reference of large, easy-to-read bearing indicators on a luminescent display for gun sight accuracy. Or, for divers who prefer relative navigation, the ratchet bezel can be rotated easily even with thick neoprene gloves. The dial rests on a precision jeweled bearing and incorporates extremely strong magnets for super quick response and accuracy. The compass 360 Degree rotating bezel has compass headings in 30 Degree numbered increments and indicator marks for every 10 Degree s. Bezel has twin heading indicators for alignment of compass course, and a lubber line across the compass face.
