Bought two bc I train for long-distance swimming in pool, 3x week. The neoprene is nice but I wish the seams would not come apart so soon (after 2 months). Good thing I got two at an inexpensive price. Yes, I would recommend this

I rented a 3/4 sleeve wet-suit for my first five triathlons. It was the only model available, so when I decided to get a sleeveless suit to free up my arm rotation, my only choice was to buy. I just finished the first race with my new NeoSport Sleeveless - took two minutes off my time from the previous year at this same course. Easy on and off for a quick transition. My arms were so much less fatigued and the buoyancy is perfect.

I wore this suit for the first time September 29th in a 1000 meter open water swim triathlon in Columbia SC. Water temp was reported at the start of the race as 75°F. This was my first open water swim event. The NRG suit was my first experience with a wetsuit and overall I am pleased with the suit for the price paid. The mid calf opening make it easier to put on and off. The size was right on as I wore a medium and am 5' 9.5" without shoes and ~ 170 lbs. The sleeveless aspect also made range of motion and entry / exit of the suit much simpler. The buoyancy added by the suit greater improved my swimming speed and comfort in the open water. The suit is easy to zip and unzip with the strap on the zipper. The suit fit well in the legs, waist, and torso. My only issue is the neck opening size felt tight when the suit was fully zipped. The "adjustable" neck opening did not seem to help with the zipper all the way up. I plan to try the suit on and have someone help with the zipper and leave it ~ 1" down from the top to make the neck slightly looser. There is a velcro tab above the zipper so I don't believe there will be a problem with the zipper not all the way up or coming down during the swim. I'll probably test it this way in a pool before my next race. Temperature wise the suit did exactly what it is designed to do and that is trap a layer of water between my body and the suit and warm it up. There were swimmers without wetsuits and the water temperature of 75°F was comfortable for them. I wore the suit for the added buoyancy and speed. I was getting slightly warm by the end but not uncomfortable hot. I can see the suit being ideal in ~ 70°F water. I have another triathlon with a 1500 meter open water swim in 2 weeks and look forward to trying the suit in cooler water.
