I bought this for kayaking and it's very uncomfortable. Would be best used for canoes, boating etc.

I got this for canoeing and back country camping. It fits great, is comfortable and feels good in the water. The handwarmer pouch is rad and the fabric is soft and quiet.

Absolutely love this PFD. It is perfect for SUP. I go in all weather condtojs and the hand warming pocket is fabulous. The extra large pocket across the front is extremly helpful. This PFD is super comfortable you barely notice it paddling.

I'm a fly fishing guide in southern Oregon, and my guests have to be in and out of life jackets all day. These are easily adjustable to fit a wide range of sizes, and comfortable enough for all day use. Great buy.

Was looking for a PFD that did not restrict movement when rowing the raft or paddling the IK. Was not disappointed. Love it. Also, a big plus; the Vapor did not break the bank! Win, win.

Typical high quality gear from NRS at s very fair price. We use them canoeing down the shoals on the Cahaba River and leisure trips up the pool above the Desoto Falls Dam on the Little River. Very useful at both paces.

I had another NRS vest (the one for high back seats), but I felt the foam was too stiff. This vest is much more c onfortable and still works even though my kayak seat has a back on it.

This is a nice PFD and size-wise it should have fit, but I don't like a lot of flotation up front and in spite of being categorized as low-profile, had too much foam up front up high. I almost felt claustrophobic just pulling it over my head, but maybe sizes aren't true for my body and I need to get a size larger. It's hard to guess a fit when buying something online.

I bought these PFDs for my work crew. We work long days on the river in heavy clothing so we can carry out vegetation surveys. traditional shaped PFDs are cumbersome and hot. These fit nicely and allow for a lot of movement and breathability, but provide the same flotation as traditional life vests. Would definitely buy again. Also, the pocket on the front was bigger than expected, which is a plus!

I used this first time last week with my NRS SUP on the Colorado River. Stays in place and seems a good fit. I haven't taken a big swim in it - yet - but it doesn't seem like it would ride up. Feels secure and nice to have a lower profile jacket. I'm a woman. :)

I like not having buckles in front which makes it easier to get back in the boat in deep water. I keep it pretty tight which makes it on the warm side for sunny day boating. I have more arm room than my previous PFD.

We bought Vapor vests for kayaking in Mexico. Had a friend visit and she was able to adjust an XL vest to her extra petite size, so it's very versatile. The zipper pocket is handy too. Good investment. And good customer service from the company.

functional, comfortable, and allows full arm movement without restriction which is an important factor as a whitewater canoeist

I have been through 6 other pfds in the last 10 years and this one is by far the best. I barely know I've got it on, the hook-up is the easyest of all of them, it doesn't ride up on my chest or back and takes no forethought to remove or even put on. all the parts connect up in a logical way without fumbling for the hookups. It isn't expensive and I feel protected - way to go NRS - you got a HIT.

Good fit, comfortable, used primarily on low tech water, do not recommend for heavy tech water.

Only issue with the adjustment is a place to stow the straps coming over the shoulder.

Usually do extended canoe trips, but have lately found myself doing more and more whitewater outings. This was a great substitution for my bulkier tripping PFD. Stays tight to the torso and doesn't move too much. Low profile keeps it out of the way, so you have full range to make those quick adjustments when necessary. The "belly" pockets come in handy too, but to be honest, due to their location I have been using them more as hand warmers during breaks than anything else(really nice for those early spring ww trips). The only con I could find is it's a bit heavier than I expected, but not to the point of being cumbersome. Have always been an NRS PFD guy and this is just one more excuse to stay that way!

I know the saying "always wear a PFD" but I never wore one. Now with frigid water I started wearing one. It is very comfortable and as non intrusive as a PFD can be. Well made and high quality. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the back side does ride up a bit on you when in a kayak but this could be the nature of all PFD's. I considered adding crotch straps to it but that might not be comfortable either!

Great vest! Pocket on front is great for car keys and ID etc. Excellent freedom of shoulder movement and comfortable for long offshore SUP.

Fits great

Although I can swim I'm not a strong swimmer so I never go paddleboarding without a pfd. My first was tight and confining. This one feels great, allows for ease of movement. I love it and would highly recommend it.
Perfect inexpensive jacket
By Laser
After having many cheap PFD's for paddling, I finally spent a little more money and wish that I would have bought this years ago! Very comfortable, feels like you are not wearing a PFD.
The NRS Vapor PFD gives you the look, feel and performance of a high-end life jacket for a budget-friendly price. The soft foam flotation molds to your body for "I forgot I had it on" all-day comfort, and you'll love the hand warmer pouch and big front pocket. The Vapor is a type III, low profile PFD delivering 16.5 lbs. (72.75 g) of flotation. Entry and adjustment are easy. Just open the two side buckles, slip the jacket on and buckle up. Once adjusted, it fits right every time. The action-cut design frees your arms for unrestricted paddling and rowing, and its light weight will never slow you down. The chest zipper opens a huge pocket that covers the front of the jacket. Behind the pocket is a roomy hand warmer pouch for chilly fingers. Also includes a lash tab for your knife and reflective piping for low-light visibility. This jacket carries the US Coast Guard Certification, through testing by Underwriters Laboratories (UL). Vests outer shell is made from 400-denier rip-stop nylon and is available in multiple sizes and colors.
