I ended up using this pull half of a dead tree from from the rock wall river left to take out at river right (it was causing a safety hazard). It took five of us to get the branch off the rock wall and across the river, after which we used this rope to attach to the raft truck and pull it the rest of the way up the beach. I can safely say this will definitely work well helping save swimmers and working with external Z-drags.

Great bag. I particularly like how the bag is a little oversized so it is easy to stuff all the rope back in it and not have to worry about it spilling out unintentionally.

I´ve been a professional rafting guide for more than a couple of decades now, and I´m a Swiftwater Rescue Instructor; I highly recommend this bag for any serious whitewater runner who wants to have at least the basic equipment to set up a mechanical advantage system, but isn´t going to carry a big static line.

This bag is awesome! It fits perfectly behind my seat or in my drybag. I also carry a smaller Throwbag in my Vest for quick swimmer rescue but the NRS bag is perfect for long throws and extractions. Its rating is over 5grand so you don't have to worry whether it will perform well or not. I recommend this bag for serious creek boaters who are trained in SWR and the extraction methods that go along with IV-V+. Don't worry about the price because this is the best 75' spectra rope on the market today.

Made of highly visible and durable Cordura, NRS throw bags quickly secure to D-rings, boat frames or canoe thwarts with quick-release 1" (2.54cm) straps. Internal flotation and floating rescue rope keep NRS Rescue Bags on top of the water, while polyethylene-sheathed grab loop makes it super quick and easy to hook on a carabiner. 2" (5.1cm) mesh panel for better drainage and reduced dry time. Barrel-lock drawstring incorporated in a flared nylon top for smoother throws, plus easy reloading and closure. Pro models include reflective ticking on the black webbing along the sides for increased visibility. A convenient loop and "cup" hold a glow stick or "chemical light". The Throw Bag contains 75' x 3/8" (23m x 9.5mm) Polypropylene sheath with Spectra core rope which is bright yellow for high visibility in the water. This easy to locate on the surface floating rope has a Maximum Load is 5,237 lbs. (2,375.5 kg). Note: Rope knots reduce tensile strength. For this reason, NRS makes no claim regarding a rescue bag's strength. Maximum load indicated is for the rope alone. Note: Rope knots reduce tensile strength.
