Nice throwbag with convenient quick release buckle on belt. Would be good for those who have a tendency to lose their throw bag a lot.

I used it when I wrapped my raft. I pushed it to the breaking point with five people pulling on it, and it held!

Fits comfortably below the lifejacket. I keep mine behind me. It hasn?t got in the way yet!

I really like this throw bag, the size, the fit, how easy it is to deploy. A great product.

This is a nice and compact throw bag with plenty of rope. It slides in and out of the holster bag pretty easily. I wear it with the bag on my back/butt - this makes it hard to sit in a craft (raft/kayak) but works great when I am on my SUP.

The waist belt and throwbag holder are excellent. Also has two small loops on the waist belt, but I may cut those off, as I prefer very clean equipment and I don't foresee myself needing to use them. The quick release works just as well as the one on my rescue vest. The throw bag is minimalist, with no extra room for the rope. This makes stuffing somewhat difficult. I find I can get in a good throw with this bag by holding on to the plastic buckles and just the top of the bag when throwing, but I would prefer a longer neck on the bag to throw. To get the rope to give me a good secondary toss (coil after first toss, then toss coil) without tangling I had to first run the rope through a munter hitch when wet (pull all the line through, then back again) around 5-10 times to get it to soften up a bit. As shipped, it was far too stiff, and the stiffness led to it tangling during secondary throws. The rope should come either pre-softened, or a rope with a less stiff hand should be used to make sure it deploys ok for secondary tosses. I took off a star for that. Otherwise, a very solid throw bag.

Nice throwbag with convenient quick release buckle on belt. Would be good for those who have a tendency to lose their throw bag a lot.
In your boat or scouting a rapid, the NRS Pro Guardian Waist Throw Bag gives you 55' (16.76m) of high-strength rope that's always there when you need it. High-strength 0.25" (6.35mm) Dyneema rope is suitable for unpinning kayaks as well as rescuing swimmers. The outer bag has a wide hook-and-loop flap and a zipper to facilitate removing the inner bag. Drainage holes in the bag expel water quickly. Removable Wedge Throw Bag has foam flotation to keep it on top of the water, mesh sides for drainage and drying, and reflective taping for increased visibility. A squeeze-style" quick-release buckle on the adjustable waist belt ensures safe exit in an emergency. The internal throw bag comes completely free from the waist belt. Webbing loops along the belt allow you to attach carabiners. The 0.25" (6.35mm) Dyneema rope has a maximum tensile strength of 2,495 lbs. (1,131.7 kg). Note: Rope knots reduce tensile strength. For this reason, NRS makes no claim regarding a rescue bag's strength. Maximum load indicated is for the rope alone.
