Great low profile PFD. I run the pro as a rescue technician. Only complaint is storage. If you need a lot of storage probably choose something else. I paddle 50+ days for fun and more for work as a guide and even more with SAR. Ive been using the ninja pro for a few years now and love it. I pair It with a wearable throw bag with a pouch on the belt for my pin kit.

Good vest. So far, I've only worn it over a wetsuit. It fits well and stays in place while paddling or swimming.

My son is a paraplegic who enjoys kayaking. He purchased the new ninja vest Saturday due to fit and floatation potential. Yesterday he tipped his kayak on the Yellowstone River, the ninja jacket performed perfectly, no slippage, it kept his head and upper body upright until we could reach him and get him reoriented in the overturned kayak. Heart stopping moments to be sure, the ninja did its job, likely saving a life. Many thanks NRS, we will continue to be out there! I have a ninja vest ordered, I believe in this product.

The PFD itself is well made. I love the color. I used the size chart to determine which one to order?and my bust size was an inch or so larger than the L so I sized up to XL/XXL thinking I could use the adjustable straps to get a good fit. Huge mistake on my part. It's cinched as tight as I can get it and now that I've worn it a few times, it's just too darn big. This causes the front to gap away from my body and jut out about 5 inches and it just gets in my way. It was my own mistake and I share it with you so you don't make it too.

This is my second NRS Ninja PFD. They are the best! I had my first Ninja for 8 or 9 years and it's still in good shape. I replaced it only because I was concerned it may have lost some buoyancy over the years. They fit great and are really comfortable. Designed so they don't interfere with paddling movement.

What I love most about the redesign of the Ninja is how my mobility in my boat has increased because I can move more freely. The size does not constrain me. The PFD is designed for diverse body types. I am impressed with the comfort of the pfd and recommend upgrading to this one! You won't regret it.

I upgraded from the Ninja with the tiny mesh stretch pocket on the front, so I skipped a model or two between that one and this. This new version is a HUGE upgrade and well worth it. My favorite additions/changes: 1. The large pocket front pocket - you can fit plenty of gear or, in my case, usually a multi tool and my phone in a waterproof case. 2. The Orbit Fit system is noticeably more comfortable, as the PFD wraps around you, instead of being bent/forced into a curve 3. The graded sizing - As a smaller person, having a PFD that (even for the Ninja) is smaller on my frame just adds to the comfort and mobility. Other nice additions include reflective material on the front and back, a siliconized waist belt to keep it from riding up, the pass-through knife/tool pocket (you can use any folder with a pocket clip) in addition to the typical Pilot/Co-Pilot sheath attachment, and strap garages that keep excess shoulder straps from flapping around/getting in the way. It's small, comfortable, but stores all the gear I want on me without adding any real extra bulk!

The new Ninja is a huge upgrade from the old model. As an avid freestyle kayaker the best part about it is it doesn't ride up during tricks. It's lightweight and super comfortable. I even use it fly-fishing on my sup. Pretty stoked on this design.

This PFD is super comfortable! Love the stash pocket / handwarmer - it's great for storing things like snacks or my notebook quickly when I'm learning on the water. The straps are easy to adjust, and the low profile helps when moving around and getting back in my boat.

This PFD is next level! The comfort and fit of this Ninja PFD is amazing and once I put it on for the first time I knew i wouldn't be going back to any other PFD. I love how the clam shell pocket is up top, this makes freestyle kayaking tricks so much easier because I'm able to lean as far forward as I want without it being in the way.

New vest arrived right before a Grand Canyon trip... Best decision ever! I was always the last one unloading on the beach still wearing my PFD because I honestly just kept forgetting I was wearing it, it's THAT comfortable. Love that NRS actually calibrated the amount of foam in each size to the expected weight range, meaning the XS/M is as small as it can be while still floating nice and high! No signs of wear, fading, or damage after 24 days in the Ditch. Love it so much that I'm planning to replace my rescue jacket with the Ninja Pro!

I use this for SUP and find it a lot more comfortable to wear than any other PFD; however, since the front of it is bulkier than average PFD if you fall off your SUP it's more challenging to get back on it especially if your board is narrower. It works great when you fall off, it makes small gear more accessible.

This is a great upgrade over its already-great predecessor. Worth it for the new bottom strap alone-it is constructed in such a way that the webbing can't twist inside the jacket, so putting it on and tightening it down is SO much easier and less error prone. The silicone coating on the bottom of the jacket is more than a gimmick, too; it helped the jacket stay in place (despite the cheeseburger-fueled gut).

Bought 2 Ninjas for my daughters who are training for a competitive canoe race. They train all year and we are in Michigan. One has reported she really likes it and it allows for lots of movement while paddling. Also hand warming pockets and zip pocket are helpful.

My uncle owns one of these and I used it quite a bit fishing in his property. I loved it! It's minimal, yet effective! It was very easy to move and paddle in this PFD while kayak fishing. I decided I had to buy one for myself after purchasing a boat. Worth the money if you plan on doing a lot of activities in a kayak or or any boat for that matter.
