The directions were good; I also watched YouTube videos as well. I'll admit I was intimidated to do this even though I'm mechanically inclined -I felt that installing this properly was paramount because I may end up saving my life someday. But all worked out fine and I felt a high degree of comfort after I did it. I highly recommend buying these directly from Mustang so you'll get a fresh one with a longer service date.

I purchased two Mustang ?MD3184/02-RD/BK PFDs originally for sailing, and then I carried them in my single engine airplane on a recent trip from Arizona to Alaska. Going up the coast of Canada to Alaska we flew over the Pacific Ocean for many hours. These PFDs are lightweight and easy to put on in case of an emergency landing in the water.

I bought this recharge kit for my Mustang PFD. Haven't had the opportunity to put either to use due to cooler weather and lake level going down. I wanted to be certain that I had the kit when I need it. Service was awesome and the manual and directions are great. Now considering similar PFD for my wife.

Good. Directions on use of key and twisting lock cc is too vague. Also twist on new one perfectly first time is not clear. Otherwise good experience

I purchased my HIT Mustang a little over a year ago so that I would have a life jacket that was comfortable and never in the way when fishing. I was tired of putting it on and taking it off, putting it on and taking it off, etc. each time we reposition to a new fishing spot. This is the answer! I had the pleasure of testing my HIT Mustang unexpectedly a few weeks ago when the wind suddenly shifted my boat while I was setting my stick anchor in an awkward position, an in I went. Within about 3 seconds, my Mustang auto inflated. I can verify that there is no way my head would have been allowed to go below the surface after inflation, whether I was conscious or unconscious! I was very impressed at the high flotation of my head and how well it was secured between the head pillow and side bladders. My buddy was so impressed that he is going to purchase one and wear it at all times while on the boat. The re-arm kit arrived quickly, and following the YouTube video instructions, was a quick and simple process to install and repack the bladders. On another note, my wireless Engine Cutoff Device also worked flawlessly. Even though my engine was not running at the time, it still shut down the starting circuit upon my submersion of 4 inches of water or more. I am thrilled that both of these safety features worked flawlessly. I know for a fact that my life and my wife's life are well protected when we are inshore or offshore fishing or boating. I perform vessel safety checks as a Vessel Examiner for the USCG Auxiliary and when people have to dig and dig to produce their life jackets during an inspection, I ask them how quickly they think they can get them on when they suddenly get thrown out of the boat. I make the analogy to seat belts that we wear as we get into our vehicles and take them off when we get out. Do the same with your life jackets. They too, only work when you wear them. My life is certainly worth the couple hundred dollars that these auto inflatable life jackets cost and I don't even notice I am wearing it. By the way, take a look at what the Marine Police wear. Mustangs!

This is the second inflator cartridge for Mustang auto inflate life jacket I have had to replace due to time out on the device. Easy and straight forward process.

The re arm kit was easy to install, with the directions provided with the kit and the video online at Mustang Survival. I am impressed with your products and there reliability. My wife and I both have had incidents, this summer, where we ended up in the water unexpectedly. She was wearing a Mustang Survival hydrostatic vest, that most likely saved her life, when she hit the water unconscious. Thanks for making a great product! Sincerely, Dave P. & Mary A.

I've purchased rearm kits... and flares from west marine only to find them to be old stock. Buying from Mustang became a bargain and it provided me with full value to expiration date

The process of rearming was doable but it took some manual dexterity and learning to accomplish the task. I had 4 to do so the first one took some time and careful reading of the instructions. By the time I completed the 4th I had it done in 5 minutes. If you are good with your hands you can do this.

Unfortunately I activated my inflatable life jacket in my office. I was never intending on purchasing a re-arming kit, but I had to. Finding the right product was easier than expected and installing the rearming kit was also just as easy. Follow the instructions! I certainly hope I never have my life jacket inflate on me because I end up in the water, but if it does, I have full confidence it will do as expected.

It took a while to re-stock, but the product is fresh and ready to install. It's also fun to "test" the expired ones.

Purchased two Mustang Survival life vests ( model MD 3184 ) in January 2007. Manufacture date is Oct. 2006. Sold my boat in 2013 and stored the vests till now ( almost 13 1/2 years after purchase ). I figured they would need re-arming anyway if put back into use even though the window showed Green, so I pulled the auto inflator. Opened perfectly! Well made and hardly know you're wearing one. Great product!

The Mustang gear lifevest is high quality and I have confidence in it's work ability. As a first responder we need gear that can be depended upon and the gear meets the task at hand. The style is suitable for our needs and provides a professional rescuer image with our name screened on the back, Very comfortable to use. Highly recommend.

Installing the re-arm kit has a little bit of an origami feel as you have to unfold and insert the charger inside the vest, but after the first time it's not hard. Just don't force it, everything fits. When you are finished it feels secure and solid.

Installation of the Rearm Kit was not difficult, just fiddly. The main hitch was getting the assembly oriented just right so the bladder could get zipped up properly.
