Shopper : dI have a small Mares BCD with weight pockets max 9lbs. Lost a pocket yesterday on a shore dive (had 11 pds of weights). Need to order a new pockets. Do you suggest size M/L/XL?Daniel D : This happened to me. A retired career system safety engineer. You need to order commensurate with the vest size. Look at the pocket closely. It has raised lettering for max usable weight. Sounds like you exceeded the design weight like I did. If you need more weight you need a larger Mares vest. But then you may not have a proper fit. I could go into detail about good design, proper safety documentation and visible warning labels but my solution was to return to the dealer, at a consignment price and swap the Mares BCD for another manufacturer. A used one no less. Not happy about it but better safe than dead. Keep it simple and stay safe. GL DanJOSE S : The better you can do is ask directly to Leisure Pro or write to Mares. They will be ypur best assistance.ART R : I’m afraid to answer with certainty, but have you checked your one remaining pocket for nomenclature? Then you could work with Leisure Pro to ensure you are purchasing the right one. Beyond that you could go ahead and order and go through the return process.
SUSAN B : Will these fit the Mares Journey Elite BCD?ERIK L : Yes they are Mares MRS wight pouches. I recommend using the trim pockets to reduce the amount of weight in the MRS pouch. Additionally try and have the weight as far back in the pouch before reinstalling the pouch. Make sure it is "clicked" in.Ed Z : Yes, however I sold the BCD on Craigslist because it jammed up into my neck, the chest strap that is. Bought an aqua lung, much happier. I'm 5'11 160lbs.

MARES does offer different sizes of this weight set, when you look on the mares website under BCDs then BCD Accessories you will see small and large codes (part numbers). Does your Pegasus have the small triangle shaped pocket edges that have the wording "Mares PRO Ready"? If yes, then this should fit.

Perfect match

Although these did not list my Mares BCD as a fit, I matched them based on the one remaining pocket I still had. They are the correct replacement and will save alot of hassles on my next dive. One word of caution however; on my first dive with my brand new Mares BCD one of these weight pockets came out upon my ascent, fortunately at the very end of my safety stop. It caused me to basically shoot up to the surface, which if it had happened at depth could have been a problem. I will now attach them with rapid release clips to the BCD itself so that hopefully this will never happen again.

Fits the Pro Tec

Had to replace a pocket I dropped after a dive. It was 15° and the plastic buckle shattered when it hit the asphalt with 10 lbs in it. They came in a set of two and arrive with mounts to add to another BC.

Great Value integrated system

I have a Mares Rover Pro. I installed it, is very easy, the detach system works great, to the point that I was diving a wreck the other day, I was cutting a fishing net and with a slight pressure of the line on the handler it detached. Honestly I think this would happen with any other brand as well, but is a good reminder that for complicated dives the weightbelt is still a better option. The construction is robust not cheap plastic on the pull system, easy to install back underwater

MRS Plus is Mares evolution of the 1st mechanical weight system introduced to the market, it incorporates a newly designed buckle system, one pull movement to release your weights, shaped pockets to form to your waist. Large, zippered opening allows for easier insertion of weights.

This pair of weight pockets is designed for the Rover Pro BCD (see SKU: MRSRP). Inside hook and loop to section the pocket in case you don't use the full capacity.
