Shopper : Is the guns aluminum tube sealed for buoyancy or does it fill with water?ANDREW F : I believe it is sealed. It stabilizes very well underwater. It does not float like a wood gun does after you shoot it though. It will sink.BRETT R : Im pretty sure its sealed, as ive never seen water pouring out if it or sloshing around. Its mot bouyant though, due to the weight of the steel and aluminum

Shopper : I am reluctant between this gun and the Pathos laser open pro, any suggestion specially about accuracy & rebound effect? and what is its sling diameter?YAN G : I do not have any experience with the Pathos gun, but the Viper pro is a very nice speargun. Accuracy is good and it uses 19mm slings.
Shopper : how many slings comes with it? and of what diameter? does it need any other accessory to buy?JULIAN V : 2 Bands i believe 18mm.line for the reel..samantha h : You will need to but line obviously. But the 2 bands are 5/8 diameter. Tuff to pull back but punch through fish like they are supposed to.Scott W : Hello, The Viper Pro comes with two slings. I believe they are 28mm in diameter. As for accessories, if you are planning on using the reel (which I would suggest) you will need line. I would also suggest getting ahold of a second back up spear, crimps, crimper and extra shooting line. While not necessary, having back up materials on hand, being able to rig a new shooting line or having a back up for a bent spear can mean the difference between carrying on with a day spearfishing or being done early. I have both the 100cm and the 75cm of the Viper Pro and have been very happy with them over the last year and a half. Its a solid gun, accurate and a lot of bang for the buck.SCOTT B : I purchased this same gun early last year and its great. It has 2 bands, not sure diameter, reel, and shaft. You need to buy shooting line for the reel. You will be very pleased with the gun. At this price its a great deal.
Shopper : Does this come with a shaft? What size?JASON K : My brother-in-law and I both bought one. A 90cm and a 75. Both came with 7mm shafts.KEVIN K : Yes it comes with the shaft in the picture. I believe it is about 45 inches in length and it is a one flap design.Scott W : Yes it does come with a shaft with a Tahitian flopper. The length depends on the gun size. I have the 100cm gun and the shaft is 140cm and 7mm in diameter. It comes pre rigged with shaft, filament shooting line and elastic shock cord. The reel though has no line so that must be purchased separately.

The gun feels amazing and looks great except one thing

The gun has a great look and feel. The 90cm is a perfect size for mid range and coral diving. The trigger seems to stick a little and just may need to be adjusted before use, but when i first got the gun it wouldn't release the spear without band force. it was like the trigger wouldn't work properly if the bands weren't pulling it. Going to adjust this weekend and give it some more time in water.

Love the Gun

I love the gun although getting the replacement parts is a pain not to mention they are expensive one sling for 40 dollars way to much. My sling broke after 6 months use. The logos on the gun rubbed off. It shoots strait and feels amazing. I wish it came with the Reel string thats another 40 dollars. I still think the gun is a great deal for what you get. I might choose a local brand next time like Hammerhead since I live in Hawaii. Although I like the look and feel better on the Mares. Anyway I'm a beginner and have been loving every minute of it.
