Worked great for my Cozumel trip. Menu navigation is a little hard to figure out, but not too bad.

Purchased as a backup to my Aqua Lung i550 integrated computer. I wanted a backup after I witnessed a guy on a boat dive out of Panama City, Florida, have his rental computer break before the first dive. The dive master had a backup wrist computer, but it ran out of battery as soon as he pressed the button. The guy had to sit out the morning! I dove with the Puck Pro Plus computer on 6 dives in Kauai a couple of weeks ago, including 2 night and 2 nitrox. The Puck Pro Plus behaved and calculated everything almost exactly the same as the i550. I don't dive a lot because of my location, so I usually spend a fair amount of money on trips. Consequently, I don't want to miss an entire day due to a dead primary computer, as each dive is important to me. Cheap insurance. I don't understand why people disregard the value in a backup computer, since it's the one thing that can take you out of diving for a day, unlike most other equipment. Make sure you always use it every dive, as it needs to add up repetitive dives in order to use it as the primary. Lastly, I would be comfortable with this as a primary, although I like the integrated.

recieved my dive computer in a timely manner. this dive computer is what i needed - a budget friendly DC to monitor my depth, no deco time, surface intervals and water temp. The one big button design is easy to operate even with 5mm thick gloves on. It does not come with the adapter to link the DC to a computer, but i didnt see a need for me to use it.

As a new diver, this is a very simple watch to use. Had to watch on-line videos to figure out how to use it. The only down side is when going through your log you can reverse the direction, so you may have to go everything and start again to get to the one you want to review

I am very happy about this computer. I only purchased the new Mares Puck Pro+ because my previous one, the very first Mares Puck was stolen. So, my budget was really low and I chose to keep with a reliable and simple dive computer. Like the very first Puck, the new Puck Pro+ is quite reliable and simple...it just get the job done. The new screen organisation is way better than the original Puck, what turns out to be a very good upgrade from the older version. The fact I never used/owned the Mares Puck Pro version don't allow me to fair judge if the 15 dollars difference between models (Puck Pro and Puck Pro +) is worthy. The truth is: if I wasn’t robbed, I would still be using my old Mares Puck without regret. One thing that troubled me was the change in the interface with the cpu since there is no compatibility between the Dak USB PC Interface used in the Mares Puck and the new Mares Puck Pro+, what makes you spend extra money to buy the new computer interface called Mares PC Interface for Dive Link 2. Regarding the PC software, it could be better but can still offer a good option to analyse your dive profile. Concluding, If you are looking for a dive computer which is affordable, easy to use and read, without any fancy functions, low cost, reliable, containing the basics for diving and Nitrox compatible, then the Mares Puck Pro+ is definitely an option for you. On the other hand, if you are looking just as an upgrade for the Mares Puck Pro or is looking for a complete dive computer for tech dive, go look for other options. I am very happy with the Mares Puck Pro + because I got exactly what I was looking for since I already knew the product, it was an upgrade from my older version, paid a fair price for it and I will be able to use it until gather money to acquire a more complete dive computer with hoseless air integration and better fit for tech dive.

So far I love this wrist computer. I am a leisure diver and I only go a couple times per year so I won't be using it like crazy. I just wanted something compact and basic that gave me the information I needed. This computer is simple and intuitive. I can't comment on the durability as I haven't had it for too long. I only wish it came with the computer cord or had Bluetooth capability for uploading dive logs.

I want to give it less stars than 4 because it is in all respects IDENTICAL to the Puck Pro which is $40 cheaper. I own two of the Puck Pros but bought a Puck Pro+ on a recent dive vacation on a whim when it was on sale. I can't tell a bit of difference between the two other than the casing. All the menus are identical, down to the software version number. The only difference there might be is the "better readability" but I didn't look too closely at that. My recommendation: Save the $40 and buy the Puck Pro unless you really like the looks of this one better. That being said, it's a great computer just like its alter ego.

When Mares introduced the Puck Dive Computer on the market in 2008, it sent a shockwave rippling through the industry: a super intuitive, easy-to-use, and full featured RGBM Nitrox computer at an extremely competitive price. Now Mares is doing it again. Though improving on the original concept was not easy, they did so by installing a metal button for greater durability, provide a 3-level salinity function for fresh, salt and aquarium diving and an upgraded interface. Keeping all the best from the Puck Pro the Puck Pro+ has the same larger display in a slimmer design, upgradeable firmware and multi-gas capability. With all the bells-and-whistles, with no unnecessary frills, the Puck Pro+ Wrist Computer is what you're looking for. The Puck Pro+ is the computer that can accompany you through years and years of diving adventures.
The Puck Pro+ Wrist Computer uses Mares-Wienke RGBM (Reduced Gradient Bubbles Model) Algorithm. The RGBM considers the phenomenon of micro-bubbles to prevent their formation. In over 10,000 real dives monitored by Dr. Bruce Wienke in the Los Alamos laboratories, the formation of micro-bubbles has been studied and evaluated to better understand the mechanism behind how micro-bubbles are formed during a dive. Today it is the most evolved algorithm for reducing the formation of micro-bubbles without compromising dive times.
The easy access metal push button allows the diver to operate the computer in all conditions, even when wearing thick gloves. Navigating through the computer programs is extremely simple and very intuitive. There are three special function modes of Air, Nitrox and Bottom Time. The Puck Pro Computer has a maximum depth display of 492' (150m), a memory capacity of 36-hours, runs on a user replaceable 3 volt CR2450 lithium-ion battery, is equipped with a power indicator, back lighting for low light conditions, has a plan mode display, can be used in both imperial or metric units, fresh or seawater settings, residual nitrogen reset, option to exclude audible alarms and uncontrolled ascents", has an ascent rate indicators and is fully altitude adjustable to 12,100' (3,700m). The Puck Pro+ also has a watch, stopwatch, date and temperature functions, Quartz clock movement can be set in a 12 or 24-hour format. The Puck has an optional USB interface for logging dives on your PC, (SKU: MRSPCNMW) PC interface, a 35-hour logbook including dive profile graphs at 5-second sampling rate.
The Puck Pro+ knows that not all of us who dive are young and in peak condition, it address this with Precautionary Program Settings that allow individual adjustment to more conservative dive profiles if needed. When you do multi-level, multiple dives during a single-day or multiple dives over several days you can choose different setting levels to adjust your computer to a more conservative dive profile.
The Puck Pro+ has superior display readability. To offer an easy-to-read display Mares produced a wide computer mineral glass display, with intense backlighting and high contrast. The computer featuring illuminated, oversized digits with special attention paid to maximize the viewing angle, to eliminate angular distortion and to always grant the best readability. The Puck Pro+ Computer comes with a durable rubber wrist strap and a comprehensive owner's manual. For download interface see Mares PC Interface for Dive Link 2 (SKU: MRSPCDL2).
