Works great! Excellent large screen for underwater viewing - backlight worked great even down at 125'. I am new to the sport, only 15 dives, and purchased the computer before my last 4 dives as rental equipment isn't always reliable, and now I don't have to rely solely on the dive master for decompression or surface interval times. Also, the logbook feature is wonderful. I paid $230 - excellent entry device.

This is the first dive computer I've ever owned, which I purchased after about 60 dives and have since used on about 30 dives. It's fantastic! Way easier to use than I thought it would be. I really love everything about it. The single button system is easy to use. It really makes diving easier and safer. I highly recommend it.

I use this as a wrist visible backup dive computer to my direct impingement computer. It works great and is easy to read. Its numbers largely follow the more expensive computer. For its price everyone should have one.

Only positive that I can come up with is that it was inexpensive. But I returned immediately after only 1 training session in pool. It is not user friendly and definitely not for anything other than shallow recreational diving.

This little computer packs a lot of value for the money. If you're a new diver looking for a starting computer, or even an experienced diver looking to carry a back-up, this is a great option...

Simple design with all the features needed for recreational diving. Allow a choice of 3 levels to calculate nitrogen. Very nice 3 minute safety stop countdown that starts automatically when above 20 feet. Single button simplicity and we found that scrolling to make adjustments are easy and infrequent. Easy to read. Great value for the price.

great value puck/wrist type computer that has outlasted many others I have had, removed wrist strap and adapted to be 2 bungee cords so won't be lost if supplied wrist band failed at either end, MUCH better computer than the Oceanic VEO, been on MANY deco dives with it.

Used it for first time in 4 fives in Turks and Caicos recently. Worked great, very happy with the product. Would recommend for anyone looking for a solid entry level dive computer. It can and does more than I yet understand, but looking forward to learning more about its capabilities on future dives.

I purchased this product due to the price point and functions . After a couple dives, I was really able to figure this computer out. For the price, functionality and comfort of wearing. This computer did everything I needed it to do once I fully understood how it worked.

This was the first computer I bought 7 yrs ago and it's still holding up strong. This thing is super easy to use and great beginner dive computers that won't break the bank. Ive since upgraded but still take this with me every trip I go on just in case.

I bought 2 . Both performed flawlessly. If just want a basic dive computer that doesn?t distract from the dive experience, this is it. I like I can change batteries myself.

Great beginners computer. If you are looking for a easy to navigate computer and don?t need all of the bells and whistles, this is it. The only thing I don?t care for is that there is no Bluetooth.

This is my first experience with a dive computer. The instruction manual seems to assume a basic understanding of these computers so I could only get a limited understanding from it. The dive master who recommended it to me spent maybe 15 mins explaining it and I was able to use it after that. Other than the manual, the only complaint I have is that the letters on the dial are too small and difficult to read.

Great basic computer. If you don't live underwater, it's all you need. My only small unhappiness is how big it is. I have small wrists.

Very cheap band and housing. Other than that, not bad. You get what you pay for I guess. I will say it is large enough to see everything but too large to wear anywhere but underwater. It would be nice to have a diving watch that has a snap on/clip on attachment that works as your computer underwater, then snap it off and use your watch the rest of the time.

I love the simplicity of it's operation. I had the original Puck and finally replaced it with the Pro. A few more nice things this does over the original. For as often as I go diving this really was the best choice.

A great inexpensive beginners dive computer. Does the job but no bells and whistle. Nitrox or air set up. You must down the 15 page pdf manual for complete instructions. YouTube instructions are far from adaquate-don't bother or waste time there.

Wonderful 1st Computer!
By Jolufe
I have used this computer since a year ago, mostly 40 dives. My dive conditions tested this computer from cold water 10°C (50F) to warm water 30°C (86F). Up to date I haven´t change battery.
So Simple ! Perfect !

I got this to replace my Oceanic Geo, which I hated. The Puck Pro is so easy to use and set up, you practically don't even need the manual. It's self explanatory. Only thing is, if you don't use the extra features, like the PC program, Multi gas, and the other stuff you might just want to save some money and buy the standard puck. Although the Pro does look nicer!
"Everything a dive computer needs – no more, no less”
The Mares Puck Pro dive computer is pure aesthetics at the service of technology. Never before has there been an entry-level dive computer as complete as this one!
This simple model offers a sleek design and a perfect fit, with a slim, watch-like case, and large, high-resolution segmented display containing clearly structured information in a comprehensible 3-line layout. Includes an optional backlight and fantastic readability at an angle of up to 70°.
The highly intuitive user interface is managed at the push of a single button and uses the proven, scientifically acclaimed RGBM Mares-Wienke program with ‘deep stops’, three modes (‘Air’, ‘Nitrox’, and ‘Bottom Timer’) and a logbook which is guaranteed for 35 hours with a 5-second sampling frequency dive profile. This much technology incorporated into a little package has earned the Puck Pro extensive praise, even from the most experienced divers, and for good reason!
As well as a wealth of features, Puck Pro firmware can be updated via USB interface (optional) and be integrated into the complete Dive Organizer (PC) or Divers Diary (Mac) software. The battery is also user-replaceable, meaning minimum maintenance and a product that is truly accessible to all.
All the bells and whistles, no unnecessary frills. Puck Pro is the computer that will accompany you through years and years of dive adventures!
Available in a range of colours which match Mares’ popular fins, masks and snorkels.
When Mares introduced the Puck Dive Computer on the market in 2008, it sent a shockwave rippling through the Industry: A super intuitive, easy to use, and full featured RGBM Nitrox computer at an extremely competitive price. Now Mares is doing it again. Though improving on the original concept was not easy, they did so by implementing a larger display in a slimmer design, then added upgradeable firmware and multi-gas capability. With all the bells and whistles, with no unnecessary frills, the Puck Pro Wrist Computer is what you're looking for. The Puck Pro is the computer that can accompany you through years and years of diving adventures.
The Puck Pro Wrist Computer uses Mares-Wienke RGBM (Reduced Gradient Bubbles Model) Algorithm. The RGBM considers the phenomenon of micro-bubbles to prevent their formation. In over 10,000 real dives monitored by Dr. Bruce Wienke in the Los Alamos laboratories, the formation of micro-bubbles has been studied and evaluated to better understand the mechanism behind how micro-bubbles are formed during a dive. Today it is the most evolved algorithm for reducing the formation of micro-bubbles without compromising dive times.
The easy excess push button allows the diver to operate the computer in all conditions, even when wearing thick gloves. Navigating through the computer programs is extremely simple and very intuitive. There are three special function modes of air, nitrox and bottom time. The Puck Pro Computer has a maximum depth display of 492' (150m), a memory capacity of 36-hours, runs on a user-replaceable 3-volt CR2450 lithium-ion battery, power indicator, and back lighting for low light conditions. Computer also has a plan mode display, can be used in both imperial or metric units, fresh or seawater settings, residual nitrogen reset, option to exclude audible alarms and uncontrolled ascents", has an ascent rate indicator and is fully altitude adjustable to 12,100' (3,700m). The Puck Pro also has a watch, stopwatch, date and temperature functions, and the quartz clock Movement can be set in a 12 or 24-hour format. The Puck has an optional USB interface for logging dives on your PC, (see SKU: MRSPCDL2) PC interface, and logbook function that includes dive profile graphs at 5-second sampling rate.
The Puck Pro knows that not all of us who dive are young and in peak condition, it address this with precautionary program settings that allow individual adjustment to more conservative dive profiles if needed. When you do multi-level, multiple dives during a single day or multiple dives over several days you can choose different setting levels to adjust your computer to a more conservative dive profile.
The Puck Pro has superior display readability. To offer an easy-to-read display Mares produced a wide computer mineral glass display, with intense backlighting and high contrast. The computer featuring illuminated, oversized digits with special attention paid to maximize the viewing angle, to eliminate angular distortion and to always grant the best readability. The Puck Pro Computer comes with a durable rubber wrist strap.
