Shopper : Are there washing instructions for after use (i.e., how does one keep the thermo guard shirt clean?Garret h : i hand wash it after u use itCHRIS C : Can't remember if it has washing instructions, but I always wash/ rinse my neoprene and diving gear with "sink the stink" after a few days of use and it seems to always smell and look appropriate. Shopper : would this keep a Senior warm in the pool?MICHAEL R : I'm sorry for the delay in responding. Your question is hard to answer as we all are different. I bought this shirt primarily as a rash guard while scuba diving in tropical waters. The temperatures will be similar, but warmth can all depend on the activity you're doing in the pool. If you are simply floating you may still get cold, however, if you are swimming and being very active, then it very well may help to keep you warm. I am sorry I couldn't give you a more concrete answer, but the variables are as many as the people who wear the shirt. Good luck!

perfect for warm water snorkeling

wore this guy in aruba for a week and it was perfect, my brother was with me and wasreally jealous ...got the xl from all the comments... it fit me perfect out of the water but stretches some in the water so the waist becomes a little blousy, i just tucked it in my shorts

Love this shirt!

I don't like being cold, and even 82 degree water is almost too cold for my liking. This shirt is just perfect for keeping the chill off, and makes it nice for the cool walk back to the locker room.

The Thermo Guards have a Metalite coating that helps retain heat for superior warmth. All seams are flat-lock stitch for comfortable contact on your skin. Thermo Guard offers more body core protection than a standard rash guard. The Thermo Guard is made from skin-in 0.5mm neoprene rubber which creates a seal with your body to reduce water seepage keeping you warmer longer.

The secrete to keeping warm in an exposure suit is layering. The Thermo Guard is perfect underneath your wet suit for better heat retention during diving.
