This is my second pair, loved the first pair that I got 9 years ago. They are still functional, but I?Äôm heading out for an extended dive trip, and don?Äôt want to chance it, so now they?Äôll just be going to the pool.

Great fin...great fit. Perfect for my husband who finally gave up his fins of 40 years when they broke at the back heel. I own the longer Mares fin and love them...great for currents, ease to put on...sturdy and reliable. Definitely a winner! We're on our way to Bonaire in December and Little Cayman in June...

I got these to replace a pair of Mares Power Plana HP fins I had and loved for years and are no longer made. While these are a little shorter, they did fit in my suitcase. I am a size 12 and was recommended to get the next size smaller. This is the first time I have ever done that with Mares Fins and I have used their fins since 1989. But the advice was correct, the 9/10's fit like a glove after a couple minutes breaking them in. The only negative thing I can say is that they are not made in Italy like previous versions. These were from Bulgaria and the finish at the fin tips was a little ragged as if they were not trimmed up after exiting the mold. We will see how long they hold up. I still have some Plana Avanti Scuba fins from 1990 that are still in great shape and I usually got around 6-8 years on the HP's doing a lot of snorkeling in the Florida Keys when I lived there. Overall they seemed to work well and are my new travel fins due to the shorter length.

For over 25 years, Mares has had the best foot pocket in the business! I have been using these full foot fins to dive/snorkel for about tat long nd sold them I had a scuba shop. The fin desjgn has changed from 2 channel now to 3, but the fins perform the same- great! Best fin for the type and monet.

I like this fin. I have a number of open heel fins including the Mares Quattro for scuba and I like their fins so I bought this for warm water snorkeling. It has pretty good propulsion and is sleek and surprisingly comfortable for a closed heel even without socks or booties. No blisters or anything. With closed heels, size is everything. Helps that I live in NYC so could visit the store for tryout. I am a US 10.5 and I bought the size 8-9 (42-43) and it’s a perfect fit. Size down one from your shoe size if you’re going bare or stick to your shoe size if you’re using neoprene socks. Best to always try out for fit though, in the same conditions you would use the thing

I didn't understand the reviews and i noticed some are quite old but i just got these fins and the quality of the rubber is terrible, they look like toy fins and they are made in Bulgaria. I send them back fast and i was a fan of the Mares Plana but this is ridiculous such a terrible quality in such a legendary fin.Don't recommend this new one at all, you will send this back if you buy it.

This fin is very comfortable and easy on the legs while delivering good swimming power. It also stands up to abuse well, which cannot be said for most of the more expensive freediving fins. I use them both for light freediving (e.g., when I don't want to pack my long fins) and regular scuba diving (more than a hundred dives on this pair of fins).

I have had a pair of these Mares Plana Avanti Tre Full Foot fins for years now and I just purchased two additional pairs for my daughters, ages 18 and 22. We are avid snorkelers and I wanted to upgrade their equipment. On a recent trip to Curacao, we snorkeled off the beaches of Playa Porto Mari, Playa Lagun and Grot Knip, often going as far out as the "drop off". These fins are a "step-up" from most of the commonly available snorkeling fins, but they are a pleasure to use. They have fantastic speed and quick response for staying safe near rocks, surges and currents, and of course, are great for those long swims back to the beach. A bit bulky to pack for a trip and costs a little more than ordinary snorkeling fins, but definitely worth it! Thanks to Leisure Pro for their efficient service in getting the fins to us on time, since I had to exchange the first pair for a smaller size for my older daughter, then order fins for my younger daughter after her fitting. Both girls are size US 7-7.5 and found the smallest size available a comfortable fit.

These are not freediving fins, but they are a very good general purpose fin. I have used them in the pool and in a fresh water spring, and they work well. They are stiff enough to give you decent propulsion.

I bought them for Underwater Hockey. I swim super fast and they are comfortable, Cons. It´s the smaller size and its a little big. but I can handle them. Love them in blue :-). Can use them for snorkeling too. They are light weight and not too big.

Good quality. Comfortable. "9 1/2 to 10 1/2," but I am a 10 1/2, and they are loose. Don't, however, seem to fall off. May have to wear socks.

I have used these tres full foot fins for years, had to go a size larger as they were a little tight. With the slightly larger ones had to add extra socks; but it is better than before.

I purchased this pair of fins because they were on sale. I got them to replace a pair of Aqualung Express full foot that only lasted me about a year. The Aqualung were stiff so they gave you great power, but the thing I liked the most was that the foot pocket was like a sock. Soft and with full protection for the toes. The Mares foot pocket is way stiffer, it doesn´t fit like a glove, like the Aqualungs, but they seem to be more durable. The blade is very flexible, so they are way easier to kick than the other ones. Its a good fin but they could work a little bit more on the foot pocket to make it more comfortable.

Good substitute for long blade fins when you travel . This length is more "boat friendly" when traveling. Stiffer blades than Volo fins which I used previously for this purpose.

These fins impressed me at first. They fit and worked well. After less than two years, one of the foot pockets tore. I pursued warranty service and was told this will take 5-7 weeks. I ordered a second pair of the same fins to use in the meantime. When I started using them, I realized how soft the fins had become after less than two years of use. It wasn't the foot pocket that had lost its stiffness, rather the entire fin. I only used the fins once in a while for the first year or so, then 2-3 times per week for about 6 months before the foot pocket tore and the fins had softened. The fins were always well cared for. I think decent fins should be much more durable than this.

This fin is great for Underwater Hockey practice. They hold up well with extensive use (I used my old pair for about two and a half years practicing three times a week)

A bit flexible due to the added center channel but they work great for propelling me through the water without tiring me out. If you want a stiffer fin try the Avanti Hp. Worked well with all types of finning. Very maneuverable. I ordered 1.5 size smaller than my shoe size and they fit perfectly. I knew what size to order as I have used Mares fins before. I wear a size 12 shoe and the 9.5 to 10.5 fit perfect. Can dive every day with no blisters. Great all around fin at a great price!

These are very good fins for snorkling and SCUBA diving. I was looking for fins with blades that provide good power, but not so stiff that they would wear me out. These have proven to be exactly what I wanted. The slight looseness in the foot pocket has not been a problem. The only problem was in sizing as the website only shows letter sizes with no reference to a numbered size. From my experience, I can tell you that Large = Size 8-9 and X-Large = Size 9.5-10.5. The PFF Guarantee for size was nice and took care of my exchange, but it did delay my use of the fins. The interesting thing is that nowhere on the fins is letter sizing shown yet letter sizing is what the website uses. Perhaps Leisure Pro can fix this sizing chart.

Bought these to replace ones that were stolen with the rest of my dive gear. I also bought a pair for my partner who is a beginning snorkeler. The Tre's are very light, very comfortable and very efficient. The heel slips a bit but I blame that on my feet!
