After about 50 years of owning only one and the same set of fins (ScubaPro Jet Fins) that were one size too small and squishing my toes, it was (past) time for a change. I opted to go to full foot w/open toe vs open heel w/closed toe. Mostly positive reviews of this fin sold me in the end. I heeded the reviews to buy one size smaller. I wear a 10.5 regular street shoe and have somewhat narrow feet. I got the 8-9 size and they fit my feet just about perfect with only a tiny bit of wobble. Some 1.5mm fins socks made the fit comfy snug with no wobble and I could even manage to use my 2.5mm fin socks without any undue comfort. As stated in another review, the fin material is a bit soft and will scuff easily if you bear your weight with them over hard surfaces such as concrete or rocks. They definitely provide very good forward propulsion. My calf muscles were feeling it for the first few uses where they didn't complain with the old Jet Fins. That's just more incentive to strengthen that muscle group. I like the lighter weight as well. I couldn't detect any loss of maneuverability vs the shorter fins, but I don't dive in confined spaces. I primarily snorkel and shallow free dive the cold Florida springs. I'm very pleased with these fins. The only downside for me is they are considerably longer than the old fins and won't fit inside my gear bag like the Jet Fins did and have to ride on top. I can live with that.

Nice fin, light for travel. 9.5-10.5 fit me very well barefoot, but a 2mm dive sock would be fine. I have lots of fins. These didn't give me the propulsion of my Atomic smoke on the water. Glad I have them though. Traveling will be easy.For the price, it is recommended

I had looked at other fins when needing to replace my previous fins after 4-5 years. My old ones had lost some rigidity and had been giving me blisters. However, i think it's because they were old, because these were perfect. Gave me enough power in tropical waters, lightweight, fitted in suitcase and were comfy with no blisters!

This is a powerful fin. They may be a little stiff for some, but they deliver great performance. I ordered the fins in my size 8 shoe size. But, the foot pockets were too large. I returned them for a size 6 1/2 to 7 1/2 size and they fit fine. The foot pocket is comfortable and the firm soles of the fin efficiently transmit power from the legs to the fins.

Forget wearing booties. This is a great foot fin. I have been diving for over 40 years and currently dive professionally for a public aquarium. I also dive the mid atlantic and through the Caribbean. I use my Avanti fins on all warm water trips and they are perfect. Lightweight, pack easily and very powerful. I love them. I still have my first pair that are over 20 years old and just purchase a second pair.

These work well for us. Not too long but have good power. Good size for experienced snorkeler. They fit well in 29" suitcase.

I really like these fins, even though I can't actually wear them. I'm going to blame my odd feet though... There's a hot/sore spot on one foot whenever I use them, so I'm giving up and going back to boots and open heel fins. That said, they're well built, and I think they'll last.

Love these for snorkeling at the Islands. I always use a fin sock but other people don't. They offer thrust, maneuverability, control and comfort. Good little fin to have in the collection for traveling.

bought these for use in current/drift diving in cozumel and they're excellent. i don't like fins with springs or clasps. these are easy to put on - fold the heel back and slide your foot in as though you're putting on a slipper. they work well with dive socks too. as for handling current, they're excellent. they're great in fast, slow or heavy current.

I have a 12M foot size. I ordered the XXL fin that is for 11.5 to 12.5 sizes. The fin fits nicely but to tight to wear a booty. That's great with Me since I never wear socks/booties with Open heel fins anyways. Great light weight fin for warm water diving.

Just used these fins diving and snorkeling in Cozumel and they were great to manuever even in the currents there. Super fast and comfortable and I was able to move quickly and change direction easily.
