Michael K : how can i know if i need 7 or 6  mm?Mario C : you need to know the thread size on the shaft you are mounting the tip onto. 3 main size 6mm 7mm or 8mm (5/16) a caliper on the threaded end of the shaft should give that information.. also JBL sent me some more info that can help determine in case a caliper is not available Your customer needs to know what thread his shaft has. If he is in the US it is most likely 6 mm or 5/16", if he is in Europe, it could be a 7 mm or 5/16". You will need to ask what speargun he is buying the tip for. If it's a JBL I can be of more help. Or he can take the shaft into a dive shop and have them try the different tip threads on his shaft. Hope it helps
Shopper : Would this tip fit on the cressi threaded shaft if not what adapter can I use?JOHN M : Take the thread to your local hardware store, they will tell you what you own...MICHAEL C : It will if you get the correct size. I believe the Cressi threaded shafts are 7mm threads, so you would need to get the 7mm spearpoint.

You won't need any other parts, simply unscrew the old one and screw on the new one. fish killer

Not sure which of the tips this is but all have worked well. I have bought expensive and less expensive and both seem to work as well and last as long. Just remember to use lock tight on the threads cause they like to fall off. A spinning ling cod is effective at separating tip from the spear shaft

Good workhouse spearpoint

I use these points on my Riffe guns as well as my JBL. They are a good all purpose reef and hole point. Affordable and easy to sharpen. Easy to remove from a fish with the cup.

jbl twin barb review

they last me about a year and I hit alot of rocks, you can grind the tip down alot of times when it gets flattened out from rocks, to keep it sharp. good for smaller fish.

A must have for any spear fisherman

The JBL twin barb spearpoint makes an excellant back-up point. You don't want to be out on a spearfishing trip and lose your tip and end your day early. Deffinately carry an extra.
