Lucia P : Does it work on a mares sten shaft or does it need an adapter? ThanksSam S : It all depends on the shaft threads. Typically European shafts have 7mm threads. If that is the case it should work. JBL and most American spearshafts use 6mm threads.

Shopper : I need a tip that is 1/4" don't know if that is 6MM or 7MM?JEFF D : If you're looking for a close match for a 1/4" thread size then it will have to be the 6mm. 6mm converts to .236" which is very close to the .250" you now have. The thread pitch will be a little different, but you should be able to use it nonetheless.JEFF T : Sorry I don't know either

I know the sten super 100 mm spearguns take an 8mm threaded tip. I would suggest looking up the gun you use and double checking. I know the jbl you are looking for comes in 6 and 7mm

Small but good

A lot smaller than i thought it would be. Still is a great tip. Its strong and light weight. I use it mostly for freshwater. Its small but still is great for a good sized carp or trout.

Good tip

I used this primarily to protect the treads on pole spear. I used this as you would Trekking Pole shore diving on Bonaire. Helps greatly going in and out of some of the dive sites with bad footing.
