Shopper : Sill this work for an old explorer22?YAN G : Yes, it will.
Shopper : Which shock line do I order for the JBL 38 Special ? Which bands do I order? (Not the NW version)JAMES B : I am not sure on the Shock line but if you order one longer you can always shorten it up. I always use 5/8' x 16" blue bands on my JBL special. I feel they last longer then the black ones and they have more power then the stock due to it being thicker.

Michael G : will this shockline fit the jbl D7 carbine?SPENCER F : It should fit that D& no problem! i have the JBL Magnum Custom, which is similar range. If I remember right, there was more than enough cord in that bundle, I believe I cut off about 6-8 feet. So I'm guessing it was about 20 ft total... Anyways, this should fit a wide range of guns!!MIKE F : Hi Mike, I can't say it will definitely work with your D7 carbine model as I am not familiar with it. The only stump I can think of that you might run into is the length and connections so you might have to cut the line to adjust the length and may have to add something like a split ring on the slide ring if the line is too thick then tie it off - same thing with the other end. I've been messing around with spearguns as a kid and from what I can see on the D7, it's a basic design and shouldn't be hard at all to modify the shock line if that's even necessary. I've looked at the other shock lines for the carbine (without the rubber option) and I don't see any reason why this one won't work. Sorry I couldn't give you a definitive answer but hope that this somehow helps you out. MikeDON P : The JBL shocklines have the same diameter on the custom and magnums. I would ask the guys at Leisurepro to compare the the line on the D7 and the custom spearguns. I have 2 customs and 2 magnums and use the this shock line. The only difference is the length. Sometimes we miss a fish or we shoot a large fish and the recoil or fight of the animal can pull the gun out of your grip, which ever the case make sure you always use a gun equipped with a shock line. JBL's Shock Line for Magnum, Explorer, and Woody 4W Series Spear Guns (except JBL4D50) will absorb that pull or recoil that is felt when shooting and spearing a large fish. Shock Line also secures the spear shaft to the gun preventing spear lose.

Shock Line is made of strong and durable braided Spectra Cord assuring you that your spear shaft won't break loose or shock line will not snap when a fish is on your spear shaft. Some of the shock line is coiled inside a length of surgical tubing crimped to the line providing a shock absorption bungee effect relieving strain from a fighting fish. Shock Line is 14' 9" (4.5 meters) long and makes a great save-A-dive-kit item.
