Can I purchase a new one?DANIE T : Any large hardware store has a large variety of chair tips, the plastic caps you put on the legs of chairs to prevent scratching the floor. Much too soft and thin for more active lionfish

This tip is not enough to hold the more energetic lionfish. It may be better to get a more robust tip.

Hard to find the shaft for it

The spear itself is great but trying to find a 6 to 8 foot spear shaft for the tip is very difficult.

To thin and to soft

It does work but it bends easy. Plus on the 3rd lionfish shot one of the barbs came out in the fish. They are glued in not the best idea. Consider these a throw away item. Thats what I did with it

First one shipped was defective

Before using it, the spikes came out of the tip. Called Leisurepro, and as usual, they were great. Sent out a replacement with no questions asked. Thank you Leisurepro.

Beware

I was very excited about my first lionfish hunt using this tip on my 20" pole spear. I got a 8-10 inch lion fish but two of the tines stayed in the fish. I do not how the three tines are secured into the threaded tip, but two of them let loose and cannot be reattached.
