Shopper : Which part of the vest is 3mm and which part is 5mm. I’m assuming the core is 3 and the hood is 5, but can someone confirm. Also, assuming I size correctly, can this be worn over a one piece wetsuit instead of under?  My one piece is already quite snug with no room to wear this underneath.darrick c : Hello, yes, the 3mm thickness core area to the neckline. Made for a Child

This would fit a 5-year-old. Not an adult. I finally went to a 3XX - Still way too small. It may be good for a 5-7-year-old-definitely not an adult.

I?d buy this again

Used it to dive 81-84 degrees. I get cold pretty easy and this was great. I was between 2 sizes. I was recommended a smaller size since it is very stretchy. It was right on. A good buy.

Thermoprene Pro material is the best!

Love Thermoprene PRO, it?s the only type of wetsuit material to buy as it stretches, making it easy to get on and off and is form fitting so that water doesn't enter as much, to keep you dry. Over the years I?ve bought 10 different wetsuits and thermoprene pro, hands down is the best! It is so worth it! This hooded vest is special because most vests are loose at the neck, this is slightly loose but due to the form fit of the hood, little water enters.

Nicely built, nice fit...

I was initially skeptical about buying a hooded vest - not due to the maker or price but rather whether or not I could tolerate a hooded vest. I am pleasantly surprised and do not regret buying this vest! The fit was very good (of course, I'm a 'plain vanilla' male medium) but the hood fit well, the neck wasn't even thought about during our dives (my stress point) and the water transfer was almost zero. The material feels very nice and the construction is well executed. I have no problem recommending this Henderson hooded vest to anyone needing a good underlayer with a hood.

Great hooded vest to wear in cold water over 7 mm suit

I bought the XL. I put it on over my 7 mm suit and dove in 50 degree water. It was great, my exposed cheeks were cold but my head and neck was warm. I wear a size 42 jacket. Other hoods were too tight for my large head, but this one was very comfortable. I highly recommend it.

Staying Warm

Needed for cold water diving. Also made a deep dive with a 3mm ws & used the hooded vest. Works perfect. Didn't have to put on a thick ws & was totally warm

Worked as advertised

I'm 5'11" and 220 Lbs. I got the 2XL and it fits snug but not a big fat squeezer. Once it is wet it is easier to get on and off or layer it over a rash guard. Good product, kept me warm in the warm waters of Bonaire for a week.
