Bang for the buck it's pretty great. Obviously being a Farmer John water waters can sleep in through the upper arms cut out / chest . but it's a perfect in between point from a full wetsuit and no wetsuit?. for wake surfing alpine Lake Tahoe.

Overall great farmer john wetsuit. I bought this 3mm wetsuit for 70+ air temp, 59+ cold water spring/summer watersports and I think it fits the purpose well. Wetsuit material is the softest and stretchiness I have tried to date. Very little movement restriction in either size I tried with the skin clinging you'd expect from a wetsuit. The stretchiness coupled with the Velcro shoulder strap, no zip entry makes taking the wetsuit on-off a breeze compared to other suits. Sizing My frame: 6'3" 180lbs @ 15% body fat - Athletic build w/ broad shoulders & taller than average torso. I wear 34" inseam and 32" waist in normal pants. Per the provided sizing guide, I determined my body best fit XL Tall (not offered for this suit) so I had to compromise between XL (better weight/chest fit) and XXL (better height fit) - so I ordered both the XL & XXL for testing. XL & XXL measured 29" & 30" inseam and 38" & 40" waist, respectively. Shoulders: XL tugged slightly when strapped but felt acceptable; XXL felt perfect with no excess tug Torso: Both fit surprisingly well Hips/Legs: XL felt perfectly tight and fit while allowing free movement; XXL had groin pleating even after a number of adjustments. 1" less inseam on XL was not an issue as wetsuits are perfectly wearable sitting slightly higher on the shin. I kept the XL and returned the XXL due to the groin pleating and potential for air pockets. The material is stretchy and XL would fit up to 200lbs comfortably. Heavier set people with larger legs may fit better in the XXL.

I love henderson wetsuits and continuously buy them because I chew them up due to the style of diving I do. I will continue to buy the henderson jacket and farmer john due to how warm they are. For the first time I am unsatisfied with a henderson product. The threading comes apart from all the connected seams and from some places that are not connected seams, like the upper leg. I have tried to glue the places where the threading is coming apart to stop this and it seems to help. I love the henderson sizing to get a proper fit and I usually love their product. I hope they find a better factor for sewing. I gave four stars and will continue to buy because no one else is making this.

Brought this along with Henderson's long sleeve shortie to wear when diving in the Atlantic from November to April/May. I've got full one piece suits and at 65 it is becoming difficult to put on and take off my wetsuits. This suit and the long sleeve shortie are simple and easy. You'll find that more weight will be needed but in the end you'll be happy to get in and out with way less effort.

In my book Henderson makes the best wet suits out there. I have bad shoulders and putting on a wet suit is torture. This suit has the stretch to make it much easier to put on. I gave it only four stars because of two reasons. They don't make the farmer john and jacket in the thermoprene pro and they don't make it in all the different sizes like they do in the one piece suits. I have to wear the 2x size because of it so it is big on me in some areas causing me to feel the bubbles in the suit moving around my body as I swim. I'm sure it hinders some warmth too.

I ordered this for my husband and he really likes it. The knee pads are perfect, soft and flexible, not hard and stiff like some other wet suits. I was unsure of how it would fit, never having ordered one on line before, but it is exactly the same measurements as described by Henderson. Last but not least, the price was excellent.

Sailed Laser with it over most of the winter in Boston. More flexible and much cheaper alternative to drysuit. Sizing instruction right on the spot for medium (I am 5' 9" - ~160lbs).

For the price I would have liked to see sealed seams. Henderson's 'Thermoprene' is also not my favorite, compared to neoprene it feels stiffer and not as warm. That said it's a good suit and I'm glad to have it, I just think it's a bit overpriced. Favorite part is the no-zip entry.

The suit is great however I order the jacket and farmers john and one of them wasnt in and had to wait for both pieces before it was shipped. I had opt the additional shipping fee to get the items order in 3 business day and piad for it but the delay was waiting for Scuba.com to get both peices before shipping...kinda defeated the express idea of it.

This was to replace the one Iost in Curaçao so I already knew I loved this suit! FYI: I couldn't remember the size I lost so I went with their sizing chart for my 150lb 5'8” body which was a medium, it was so small I couldn't get it on. LeisurePro was great and got me a large right away with NO additional shipping charges for the return and resending!

I have worn Henderson wetsuits since the 1980's. I have had other suits as well over the years but keep coming back to Henderson. Great fit, quality materials and workmanship, reasonably priced. I haven't yet dived with this particular farmer john yet hence the 4 star rating. I fully expect this suit to perform well when I dive this summer.

Let me qualify this review first. I have not yet made a dive with this suit and already love it. Why? I bought the jacket part of this ensemble several years ago. I bought a medium and had to exchange it for a small, but it is the warmest 3mm wetsuit I've ever worn and I have several. As it moves into fall and the water temps drop I decided on the Farmer John addition. The small fits amazingly well so they also run a bit large. Heading to Dominica in a few weeks and know I'll be the most comfortable diver on the boat. Henderson is the best wetsuit I've found to date.

My wife and I each have both pieces of this set. The only thing I am disappointed about is Henderson no longer makes the Farmer Jane piece of the set. But the XS mens fits her so we are all good. We love how easy they are to take on and off as well as the ability to mix and match as the environment and water temps demand. I highly encourage anyone to look into this two piece set for themselves.
