Good Octo

11 reef dives in Cozumel. Max depth 80ft. Strong currents. No malfunctions, no problems. Used it once on a reef dive to test it out. Functioned the same as the primary.

good. Misleading confusing advertising

I dont like how they say the packing nut and end cap come in stainless, you cant see them, and they have to be at least stainless or chromed brass to work more than a day. It confuses people and i wasnt sure if id get a 100 or 150lx and what itd look like because on most websites, even leisurepro, the pictures for the 100lx, 150lx, and 200lx, are mixed up on each others product page. You see a black reg and it says stainless nut and end cap so you think thats what ur looking at or getting. Octo works good though. I think theyre trying to make ppl think they get a metal ring on the front like the 150s when all the 100 series are black, the 'actual' ring that screws down around the purge valve is black plastic.

Great Octo

I love this octo. It is nice to have a backup that works just as good as my primary. Even when switched to the most restrictive breathing setting it breaths smoothly and without difficulty

The 100LX Octopus delivers great performance at a moderate price. The packing nut & end cap come in stainless steel. All LX regulators come standard with 36" (91cm) MiFlex hoses and orthodontic mouthpieces with dual color tabs. The 100XL Second Stage Regulator is a pneumatically balanced chrome-plated brass valve results in smooth, easy breathing. Is equipped with a reversible demand valve that can be converted from right-handed hose configuration to left handed hose configuration. The second stage has an adjustable Dive/Pre-Dive switch: Large Venturi lever has a soft rubber grip, which makes it easy to locate and use. Ergonomic exhaust channels bubbles away from field of view and reduces exhaust effort. Improved orthodontic mouthpiece with dual color tabs and a plastic cosmetic ring.
