It’s just long enough to cover the neck and will not interfere with any wetsuit or drysuit seals.CAMERON S : Yes, you tuck it in, and no, it doesn't cause any extra leakage - the neoprene of the suit and the hood are pretty snug against each other (or no less snug than without the hood, anyway).Nicholas A : The hood length at the neck does not go into the wetsuit, rather sits at the edge of the neck of the wetsuit opening. If you want a good that ticks into the wetsuit neck opening, you would want a good with a bib.

These Have No Bib

These are described in two places in the description as having a bib...they don't. They come just like the picture. I returned the ones I purchased.

Ear Trauma and Jaw Fatigue

The liner inside is so slick that it will not let water in or air out. I tried this hood out two times and each time I had outer ear trauma, bloody ear, ending my boat dive trip short. Seen a doctor and called DAN. Yep, textbook hood related injury. P.S. i did get Jaw Fatigue on as few as one dive.

Nice but sized small

Order one or two sizes bigger than you think. I normally take a medium or large. I ordered an XL ad it still is kind of tight. I like it though.

You get what you paid for

You need to get your exact size, material not as flexible as Henderson and wear it long enough you will experience jaw fatigue.

Nice and Warm

Used this hood with my dry suit. I had heard good things about fourth element hoods so I gave it a try. I ordered a medium as that is the size that I wear in my NeoSport hood and it fits well, but is a bit more snug than my other hood. It is a little difficult to get on and off since there is no extra neoprene to grab onto at the neck opening (which is exactly why I wanted it) and also no velcro or anything that you can undo to get it over your head. It is very WARM and I was quite comfortable in it. The price point on this was reasonable as well.

Excellent fit and almost too warm!

I have a tailored to fit wetsuit and dive in Northern CA waters ranging from approx. 49-55 degrees. This hood was much more than I hoped for. As a 29 year veteran to cold water diving, I must say that this hood was really comfortable, not just wearing it, but donning and doffing as well. It's almost too warm! Hard to admit, but I liked it more than my custom fit one! Go figure!! For sizing considerations, I got lucky, I ordered a large and it fit perfectly. I am a stocky 5'8" and 200 pounds, hope that helps in your considerations. The only negative was that the vent holes are a little too tight and did not vent as well as I'd hoped. A small negative considering the overall fit and performance of this hood.
