One side features kelp forest creatures from all over the kelp forests, including fishes, sea lions, sea stars, rays, the octopus, the spiny lobster, colorful anemones, urchins, the brilliant Spanish shawl, and even a diving cormorant and other sea birds. How about the giant sea bass, horn shark, turbot, lingcod and the California blue shark? These are just a few of the over 60 species found on the card.

The other side is a map of San Diego and parts of San Diego County with major roadways, Interstate Highways, points of interest like Coronado, Point Loma, La Jolla and Mission Bay. This side of the card also has a compass rose, photo insert of San Diego sky line, the California Gray Whale and several other local species of fish. There are also five dive sites with one being the majestic Point Loma Kelp Bed which has ship wrecks and multiple other dive sites within it. You could spend a two week diving vacation exploring the Point Loma Kelp Bed itself and still not see all it can offer. This handy little fish card is just (H x L) 6" x 9" (15.24cm x 22.86cm), so it fits in your BCD pocket. It is printed on laminated plastic so that it is stiff, shiny and waterproof. It has a hole for a lanyard, so you can actually take it diving or snorkeling. Make sure to buy several so you can give them to friends too. Card makes a great gift idea.
