Going sidemount for tech training and with 2 HP100s in sidemount, my range is extended a ton. Love the negative bouyancy, capacity and fit/finish.

That's a big and heavy tank. Think about how you'll use it. On most dives I come up with 1-1.5k psi

Nice Tank. Wish it would have been NITROX ready. Cost another $60 for the tank to be cleaned at the dive shop. Other than that it performed well.

I've had this tank for several years, and I love it. No problems whatsoever. I also like it because it cuts down on the amount of lead I have to put in my BC. A couple things to consider are that it is somewhat heavier than an AL80, and it can tend to try to flip you over on your back while it's full. This is not a criticism of the product--just something you have to deal with when you're diving a steel tank.

Great scuba tank, works perfect every time. I love that it has a pro-valve and I can use Yoke and Din if I have to. Also it is well balanced, and I do not have to carry extra weight with me. Has plenty of air for me, and lasts around 1hour 45minutes on dives around 60ft. Overall, perfect tank, worth every penny!

Bought two and worth every penny! Using the 60’s for beach dives. Fill to 4,000 then settles to 3,500 after they cool. 1.5 hours easy every dive.

The tank came packaged nicely and absolutely no damage or marks of any kind. Nice silver finish and the valve handle works smoothly. Took it down to the dive shop and had it filled and after a couple of months now NO leaks. All good! Would definitely get another one should I need it.

I ditched about 15# of lead with this tank I wish I would have done that sooner and I put a handle on the tank much easer to handle

I bought two of the 80 cu ft tanks. Love the reduced size, easier to handle and much more comfortable. The pro valve is a great valve. I dive DIN gear.

What to say? Shorter than an aluminum 80, 117 cubic feet of air, and just about neutrally buoyant at the end of the dive. Don't be surprised if you also need new cam bands due to the increased diameter. The tank is 0.75 inches great diameter, but this means almost 2.5 inches greater circumference - so you need 2.5 inches more strap. The tank arrives VERY securely packaged, with the valve in a separate box. It cost me $15 at my local dive shop for the first visual inspection including air fill.

I absolutely love this tank. Get so much bottom time out of it. It's pretty big, but it's not terrible to handle when in the water.

Tank is great. It is Faber. But please be advised that the visual inspection label is not included, and you will have to pay for the inspection in a local dive shop. Tank comes fully disassembled. On the other hand, I bought 2 Faber tanks from Diver's Supply online shop a few months back. Those came fully assembled and with VIP labels attached. Just include this into your decision making.

Great Tanks

Excellent tanks and the white is great for students to be able to see you when vis is bad, our vis in the PNW can be from 2-10ft.
Nothing dives like a Faber
By Scuba-Matt
Great tank, Carry less weight on your BC due to this tank being neutrally buoyant.
This "indent" on the insert is normal part of manufacturing process. It allows any built up pressure under o-ring to equalize to assure proper pressure seal of o-ring in o-ring groove. In addition it is a point that enables easier removal with o-ring pick and installation of the new “Yoke Seal” o-ring which is a wear item and should be replaced under normal periodic inspection/maintenance.
If you are not using steel cylinders, try to use one and you will soon realize what you have been missing. Faber can offer you the most comprehensive range of cylinders for scuba diving. Every year Faber produce and sell around the world 100.000 cylinders for scuba diving (out of 600.000 in totals). No other manufacturer in the world can match their capabilities and the breadth of their range. Faber Tanks and valves are nitrox ready.
Cylinders come equipped with a DIN/K type valve that easily converts back and forth depending on the type of first stage regulator to be used in conjunction with the cylinder increasing the versatility of the tank. The Tanks are equipped with Faber's Valve. The construction allows the diver to remove lead weight from their weight belt or integrated weight system of the BCD, allowing the diver to better distribute weight by moving it to the rear of the BCD a great advantage when wearing a back inflation style (Wing) BCD.
Aluminum cylinders, as we breathe the weight of air from them, create positive buoyancy at or near the end of a dive. The steel cylinder with its negative buoyancy throughout the dive allows you to shed the excess lead that is required to keep you properly trimmed while you dive an aluminum cylinder. Faber HP cylinders have a round bottom and come equipped with a cylinder boot.
The Faber cylinders are 3442psi (237 bar) working pressure cylinders, negatively buoyant from -2.64 lbs. to -9.41 lbs. (-1.2 kg to -4.27 kg) when full and are negatively buoyant from -0.66 lbs. to +2.35 lbs. (-0.54 kg to +1.0.7 kg) when empty. Cylinders are made from triple protected zinc sprayed and epoxy and polyurethane painted deep drawn chromium molybdenum steel. The 23 cubic foot cylinder does not have an available tank boot and the 40 cubic foot tank boot is not included. When shipped the tanks valves will be removed and the tank will require re-inspection before being filled Note: All Faber cylinders meet certificated specifications of the US Department of Transportation (DOT) with DOT special permit number 13488 and Transport Canada (TC) with special permit number SU7694-237.
Steel Cylinder Hydro Dates:
Blue Steel the Distributor of Faber tanks makes every effort to ship the newest possible hydro date on all cylinders. However, due to high manufacturing quantities on various models, fluctuating sales volumes due to market conditions, hydro inventory will very. Cylinders shipped within 24 months of Manufacture date are considered "current hydro"
