Hybrid Harness with Backplate Support
The Dive Rite TransPlate harness is a hybrid scuba backplate harness designed for divers who want the support of a backpack style harness while diving a hard metal backplate. Built like a mountaineer's backpack, this technical diving harness system distributes weight across the hips and back to reduce shoulder strain and improve overall load balance underwater.

Balanced Load Distribution and Adjustable Fit
Weight is dispersed efficiently across the back and hips for improved comfort during the dive. When used with a six pound steel backplate, divers can remove or minimize weight pockets. - Dive Rite Stainless Steel XT-Lite Back-Plate -
The next generation of lightweight back-plates has arrived. Dive Rite has taken the reliability of the stainless-steel back-plate and combined it with the light weight characteristics of non-stainless-steel back-plate. The new Dive Rite XT Lite is constructed from 16-guage 316L grade stainless-steel, which is a low carbon, rust resistant grade of stainless. A series of cut-outs along the body of the plate reduce its overall weight while still maintaining the support needed for the heaviest of double cylinder configurations. All edges are laser cut, and individually finished by hand to ensure that there are no rough or jagged edges anywhere on the plate.

The XT Lite Back-Plate is configured with 11" (27.94cm) on-center mounting holes to accommodate standard double tank bolt kits, including two holes for the upper bolt to give adjustability of tank height. Two sets of 2" (5cm) slots along the center allow divers to use the XT Lite for single tank diving without the need for a single tank adapter. A series of 3/8" (.953cm) diameter holes and 1" (2.54cm) slots along the outer edges of the plate give different options for mounting lights, pony bottles, lift bags, and other accessories. 2" (5cm) and 1" (2.54cm) slots at the bottom center of the plate allow for any size crotch strap up to 2" (5cm) in width to be used. The back-plate weighs 41.4 oz (1174g) measures 10.5" (26.7cm) at widest point x 15" (39.4cm) with a contoured depth of 1.25" (3.2 m). The Dive Rite Back Plate is proudly made in the U.S.A.

- Dive Rite 36" Cam Strap with Stainless Steel Buckle -
The Dive Rite Cam Strap with Stainless Steel Roller Buckle uses a 2" (5cm) wide nylon webbing with a 36" (91.4cm) webbing length. Cam strap is suitable for cylinders from 6.9" (17.5cm) to 8" (20.3cm) in diameter, which includes them most popular sizes of cylinders. The lightweight marine grade stainless-steel buckles nylon rollers provide protection for the cylinder from being scratched by the buckle, while a rubber non-slip pad prevents the cylinder from shifting once the cam buckle has been secured. Excess webbing is secured using hook & loop fastener, which will also prevent the buckle from accidentally coming open. The cam strap webbing has a 7,000 lbs (3,182kg) tensile strength and weighs 11 oz (311g). Cam strap is proudly made in the U.S.A.

Preferred by most divers for its general comfort, the 1" (2.5cm) wide crotch strap is ideal for fastening a harness and back plate securely to a diver's body. By using a crotch strap, divers can reduce the likelihood of their gear slipping upwards on the body in the water, resulting in the tank hitting the back of the head during a dive.

Nylon webbing provides strength with 2,200 lbs (998kg) of tensile strength, yet is soft and won't dig into the body. The (W x L) 1 x 38" (2.5 x 96.5cm) crotch strap comes with a Delrin squeeze style quick-release buckle and corrosion resistant 304-stainless-steel scooter ring for divers who scooter and want the convenience of a crotch strap that can be adjusted easily. Crotch Strap weighs 3 oz (85g) and is proudly made in the U.S.A.
