ANDRES C : Does this have a clip that I can use to clip onto BC D ring?FAIRMONT M : Andres, yes, It's look likes a normal key chain clip, not big, but enough to clip onto D ring.MIKE L : NopeNELSON R : There is a clip on the black bungee cord that you see in the picture. However, I believe the purpose of that clip is to hold the pencil. I removed the bungee from the clip and used the clip to attach it to the BCD. Then I simply tied the pencil lanyard to the ring that holds the white slates. My wife simply bought another clip and clip it from the rings to the bcd.Jeff P : yesSCOTT K : No it does not come with a clip. I use a small carabiner clip two ways. One is to remove a few slates and put the carabiner through one of the holes where the rings would go. The other is to put the carabiner through one of the rings. I've also used a small retractor clipped through one of the rings. Hope that helps!

Good slates, but pencil is bad

These slates are great, but the pencil doesn't really stay attached, and the clip is weak. I fixed this with a carabiner clip, but the pencil fell off. We purchased these for students on a college trip.

The Dive Rite Executive Slate has six, compact erasable slates held together by a stainless-steel-split-rings. A cord with sleeve stows the attached solid carbon stick pencil and attaches to the slate with a corrosion resistant spring-loaded gate clip with swivel. Small enough to fit in a tiny pocket or grouped with other larger items, the Executive Slate is ideal for note taking or as a back-up communication device. Being able to communicate underwater can really make diving more fun. Having something to write on can cut down on playing charades underwater and get to the point. Slate is made from durable plastic. Slate measures 3.5 x 5" (8.9 x 12.7cm) and weighs 2.8 oz (79.4g).
