Made a world of difference with my BC, which tended to ride up as my suit compressed at depth. Easy to install and adjust. I don't even feel it during the dive.

I bought this for my girlfriend who has a back inflation BCD that tends to ride up when inflated on the surface. This did a good job of holding it down, but you can imagine where the strain then lies. Yep, it's kind of like riding a racing bike with a very skinny seat--and it's pretty soft down there. Since she was diving in a bikini, I was concerned about a strap that is only 1.5" wide. But she told me after the first dive, "No problem, I got it covered" (thus my title to this review). I am not sure exactly what she meant by that, but I was not able to confirm any chafing later, so it's all good. Nevertheless, and extra inch is always better--and I would not recommend a 1 1/2" crotch strap if you are one of those au naturel divers, if you know what I mean.

Product is excellent. It's is made with Dive Rite quality. This was a replacement to one of my older ones. Definitely not disappointed.

It works great. I really like the quick release. I mounted it on a cressi ace and it works perfectly.

Works as expected stops BCD from riding up and keeps it secure. Strap width is comfortable and the quick release buckle works great.

I like the 1 1/2" size and quick release feature, much more practical than the 2" version in my opinion

Does the standard 1" (2.5cm) crotch strap have you singing an octave higher, but you like the convenience of a quick release (QR) buckle? The 1.5" (3.8cm) Crotch Strap with side-release squeeze-style quick-release buckle is a welcome change to old-industry standards. It comes with a slide-release buckle for divers who want the convenience of a crotch strap that can be adjusted on-the-fly, yet the 1.5" (3.8cm) strap is more comfortable, especially if tension is added such as when using a dive scooter.
Using a crotch strap allows divers to fasten the harness and back-plate securely to the body, ensuring more uniform trim and buoyancy characteristics in water. The use of a crotch strap also reduces the likelihood of the tank hitting the back of the diver's head during a dive or while resting at the surface. Crotch straps include a 304-grade stainless-steel scooter ring for use with diver propulsion vehicles (DPVs). The ring is also a convenient place to temporarily clip-off an item to free your hands, such as a lobster snare or camera. The 1.5" (3.8cm) continuous webbing crotch strap measures 38" (96.5 cm) in length has a 2,200 lbs (100kg) tensile strength, weighs 3 oz (85g) and is preferred by technical divers who use DPVs for extended periods of time. Crotch strap is made in the U.S.A.
