Exactly what I needed! Works great with my HP 100 doubles. Keeps my gear within reach and safely out of the way.

I bought this on the recommendation of an instructor who will be doing my upcoming CCR class. Seems well built and fit my Halcyon Infinity perfectly. I haven't had a chance to dive with it yet but think it will work well.

I always carry an independent air system and I prefer to have it slung. The Dive Rite butt plate allows me to move the bottle down and gives me the proper trim I need in the water. It fits perfectly to the Dive Rite soft pack harness and after a little puzzling and a lot of harness unwinding it fits snug and secure. While it does take effort to install, It will be years before I ever need to take off again. It is no hindrance if not being used though I very seldom get in the water without my extra bottle. Other than wishing they would at least provide a diagram with recommended installation, I am very pleased with my purchase and highly recommend to anyone with need of a butt plate.

I have several of these butt plates that I bolt directly to my back plates. The rails are easy to reach on both sides and the extra eyelets make it easy to mount a canister light between the rails. I use these on my rebreather for cave and technical diving where I carry several bailout/deco tanks. The location is perfect for both accessibility and trim.

Just getting into SideMount and wanted to use my Apeks harness instead of buying a new Side-Mount rig. Adding this made the Apeks harness a good workable solution to buying more gear.

Nice product but as with any Dive Rite product....you expect quality and great engineering. This has a nice design and makes side-mount so much easier for those who like our BP/W (Backplate and Wing) setups.

After grabbing a different style for sidemount diving I now picked up another one for general use on my scubapro knighthawk bcd can basically attach it to any web belt set up with the options of the grommet screws that come with. Makes for ease of streamlining reels and lights as well as side mounting bottles and deco bottles. Personally rather attach all accessories on it and leave the front open for vitals. Great quality as usually and hope to get quite a few years diving out of it.

When side-mounting stage tanks or re-breather bailout bottles, butt-plate rails can be difficult to access if back mounted gear covers them up. Problem solved with Dive Rite's Tech Butt-Plate. Its rectangular shape places tank attachment points at the edge of the diver's body, while outrigger hardware is easy to find due to its orientation facing outwards on the plate.
The butt-plate is made of reinforced nylon to provide the proper amount of rigidity to hold tanks in position and eliminate sag. Two stainless-steel handles are used for tank attachment. Included with the butt-plate are two stainless-steel assembly screws for securing butt-plate to a back-plate. The butt-plate is equipped with 7 rust and corrosion resistant stainless-steel grommets, accommodates any size crotch strap and weighs 20.8 oz (590g). Butt-plate is proudly made in the U.S.A.
