Questions & Answers

DONALD B : Does this BCD have trim pockets?Mario C : Thank you for your question and answers. This BCD does not come with trim weight pockets on the back.BRYAN T : No, but Cressi sells trim pockets (for a decent price) you can add to the tank strap. I have two, one per side. They work great.Scott M : Just looked at mine, and no it does not have trim pockets. You would probably need to add some tank trim pockets if that is a requirement. I have found this BCD to be pretty well balanced in terms of trim.steve b : If you talking about pockets on tank strap, No This bc has no pockets at all.Sybilla A : YesMARK B : No, it does not.Hameed Y : I dont know what you mean by trim pocket, but there are both 2 weight pockets on it "integrated weight" , also there is one pocket to put stuff in
Brent S : what intergrated alt air source will fit on this BCD?GERALD R : Sorry, I don’t know.
RONDA V : Is this BCD nitrox compatible?GERALD R : Yes, from everything I read. It is a great BCD, really light, comfortable and no problems without a stiff backboard like most BCDs. I highly recommend it.BARRY G : Yes.
Shopper : does this BCD have any positive or negative buoyancy without weights or is it neutral?KEVIN F : Just about neutral.
Shopper : What is the difference between this bcd and the Cressi Air Travel 2?Mike T : Hi There, The Air Travel has more lift capacity, metal d-rings and weighs a little bit more. The two bc are very similar with the exceptions stated above.

Better than I expected

I just got back from 13 dives in Cozumel with this new BC. I was expecting to give up something because it is a, "Travel BC". It is just as comfortable as my main BC. There were no pressure points created by the lack of a hard back plate. The tank is just as stable. All the controls are easy to find and operate. I never use the right shoulder dump on my main BC but on the Travelite I did find that one to be the most effective when descending from the surface. My girlfriend said she could tell I was less effected by current on this trip. (To be fair, my main BC is 1 size larger.) You would think that an inflator valve is an inflator valve. But, the Cressi inflator valve feels nicer than what I am used to. I see zero signs of wear and tear from its first trip. I am not know for traveling light. The savings in both weight and bulk allowed me to bring everything I normally would and not push the 50 pound airline limit and easily zip up my travel bag. My only, "Complaint" is that the trim pockets are larger than necessary. The hard weights sometimes would clunk against the tank if I turned sideways in the water. Put the weights in a dirty sock if that bothers you. (Assuming you bring socks on a tropical vacation!)

Nice travel BCD

This is not a bare-bones BCD! Light-weight but still packed with features such as D-Rings, a pocket and plenty of air releases. It’s great to take my own BC when traveling! I’d use this for cold water diving if it had the lift and weight capacity.

Great BCD, runs small

This is a very nice, lightweight BCD. Great features. It does run large. Never got to use it because I had to exchange my small for x-small, then they discontinued selling it before I got it.

Perfect for travel

I've been using this BCD for two years now, and I have no complaints! It's super light, and I love that I can roll it up into a small package and keep it in my carry on. There are lots of attachment points along the shoulder straps. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone who likes to pack light.

Travel light!!

Great buy! Super lite so great for travelling. Lots of connection points by strapping versus metal, lends to lighter profile. Overall it makes me happy!

Sizing

Unfortunately, if you are tall and slim (I am 6' 1.5" tall with a 32" to 34 " waist), the large size needed for your torso is overly wide in the waist and really does not cinch down enough to hold fast. I am not sure whether to return it of to try some modification. I expect that a size medium would have a smaller waist, but not fit in the chest/torso, riding too high. But for this, I would probably rate the item higher (have not dove with it). Based on workmanship and materials alone, I can recommend it for people with dimensions that fit the company sizing chart.

This is not a bare-bones BCD! Light-weight but still packed with features such as D-Rings, a pocket and plenty of air releases. It’s great to take my own BC when traveling! I’d use this for cold water diving if it had the lift and weight capacity.

The Cressi Ultralight BCD is a back inflation style device that is extremely lightweight weighing in at a mere 4.6 lbs. (2 kg) in size medium making it irreplaceable for the traveling diver. It is equipped with special anatomical shoulder straps with 1.73" (40 mm) torso adjustable buckles and a comfortable and practical soft back pad. BCD has a Lock Aid flat version integrated weight system, hideaway pocket for accessories and its air cell is made from durable urethane laminated 420 denier nylon. The Cressi Ultralight BCD is the lightest BCD on the market! Great for travel with its fast fold system, designed for travel, and easily adjusted for a custom fit with the torso, sternum and waist straps all equipped with squeeze-style" side release buckles.

The Lock Aid flat version integrated weight system holds up to 20 lbs. (9.1 kg) of hard block or soft weights. BCD comes equipped with Cressi's streamline Commando Power Inflator with cable activated pull dump valve and 3/8" threaded quick disconnect hose. Shoulder overpressure relief valve with pull cord is provided for trimming of buoyancy. The inflator mechanism is environmentally sealed for greater reliability and less maintenance. 4-lightweight plastic D-rings are provided for accessory attachment. The BCD provides 20.2 lbs. to 31.7 lbs. (9.2 kg to 15.3 kg) of lift depending on BCD size. BCD is CE certified to EN 250-EN 1809 standards, and comes with an owner's manual.
