Evan Y : I just bought this reel and I thought it was a universal railgun reel. How can I make it fit my Hammehead Evolution 2? Please answer fast cause going on a dive trip soon!EDUARDO C : Well, I did the same mistake you did. My gun us a Cressi SL70 and was never able to use the reel on it. The solution for me was to buy a Salvimar Universal Reel from spearfishingworld. It basically fits any gun with a round barrel and works very well for me.
Russell M : Does this reel fit the cressi apache? If so how do u mount it?MICHAEL C : The cressi apache is not made with the reel mount, so you would not be able to attach this to it.
Shopper : how do you string the line on the reel?MICHAEL C : There should be a small hole in the center reel, feed the line through that hole and then just spool the line on the reel by turning the reel with the handle.

Does NOT fit Cressi YUMA speargun, but a very nice reel.

A very nice reel but does not fit the Cressi Yuma. Tried and tried and measure but the reel simply doesn't fit the gun. I had to cut and use an exacto knife along with some careful melting but finally got it on. It could have been a defective unit but make sure it is made for your Cressi gun... even though it states universal across Cressi.

About Cressi Fishing Reel

If you want to shoot big fish, you need a reel. A large fish can pull your spear gun right out of your hand when it gets shot. The fish will begin to sound and when it does the fishes strength can take you for a ride. If you are not on Scuba this could become a problem very fast without a reel. Cressi's Vertical Mount Universal 2" (50mm) Reel is a durable effective designed reel for spear fishing. This universal reel easily mounts directly on any tube or rail spear gun using the supplied universal gun mount.

The smooth clutch style drag on this reel can be adjusted for just about any desired tension required and can be easily adjusted during use through its ergonomic easily accessible star adjustment knob. The dovetail sleigh hook system to the gun is placed so that the use of the different line-releasing devices is guaranteed, including the mechanical one activated by the trigger. Reel is constructed from non-corrosive, durable and impact resistant plastic for years of dependable service. Reel is made in Italy.
