Easy breather...

I was the guy that had to come-up first on the dives due to low air, not sure if this reg was the difference, but I did great on air consumption this last time.

Great reg, great value

Just did my 3rd dive on this setup here in Kauai and it was amazing. super easy to breath at any depth. Coming from Scubapro i was a little worried but not anymore. light, compact and easy breather. The second stage is not really adjustable, just the ventui lever but you do not need this reg to be adjustable. it just works without free flow.

Instructors review on Cressi MC9 Titanium

Regulator performance was fantastic. Love the light weight of the 2nd stage. Multiple dives to 100’ plus, breathing was great.

Best Regs

I bought 2 of these for my husband and I. We absolutely love these regs! They breath well in shallow water and deep! We may be replacing the hose with a swivel option but that’s more for preference.

Great place for scuba gear.

I liked the regular and is well made. How ever. There was no service center close to my house. I don't like the idea of having to mail it to a shop for service and wondering if I got mine back. But, really happy with LesurePro. Returned it and picked up other items I was interested in. Tks LP.

First dive out of box

Leaked air on first dive. Had to have it adjusted. So far so good.

Highly Recommended!

Great regulator! Very easy to breath and works perfect. What was curious when I assembled it with my octopus and gauge was th at the second stage was connected to the wrong port on the first stage! It was easy to change and also received comments at the dive shop that CRESSI normally does that...

Super nice, easy breathing and light 1st & second

SO have the GOOD and BAD on this product and will be very honest in this write up. I bought two of these for my wife and I and your can't beat the price of these. When we received them they looked awesome, it was just the week before our trip so we were very excited to use them. Mine worked great, easy breathing, light in the mouth and with the custom mouldable mouth piece we also purchased was a dream for my jaw. Unfortunately my wife upon attaching to the tank, leaked from the 1st stage and we could do nothing about it. The dive master we were with would not touch it since it was brand new so my wife was unable to dive. The thought is that the main seal was bad or the main nut was not tight. This was super disappointing and very frustrating due to it being brand new. We lost the weekend of diving together due to this and, well I felt this should not have happened as the inspection process by the maker should have for sure caught this. Saying this however I cannot directly blame Leisure Pro as I am not sure it was their fault as I am pretty sure it was the manufacturer but in either case they were the retailer. So needless to say this second unit never even touched any water, my wife did not dive but I did and the regulator was a dream to breath. The customer service was awesome and when the president of the company heard of the issue he contacted me right away and apologies and said he would circulate this issue to the CSR group so they know of this issue. I have to say they were very professional and we shipped out the unit for return today, hoping we get the new replacement back soon so we can dive. I also have to tell you that not only is the shipping unbelievably fast on the initial purchase but the customer service is awesome. We added last minute an item I forgot to buy and they were able to add it to the shipment without blinking an eye though they had a lot to do to get it in. Al-in-all I am very pleased, wish I could have gave it 5-stars but only 1 out of 2 were perfect.

Great Reg

I bought two of these, one for me and one for my son. We have dove 10 times so far, easy and smooth breathing at any depth and any tank air level. The mouth piece is a little small and soft for me but perfect for my teenage son. I replaced my mouth piece with a larger stiffer one now it's perfect.

Great regulator.

I like everything about this regulator. It is light weight and compact. It is very comfortable and easy to breath. I have made 11 dives with it so far without the slightest problem. You can't beat this regulator especially for the price.

High Quality Regulator

You can feel this is a high quality regulator. It even included an allen key for mounting the octo and inflator hoses. Enough ports to mount an additional computer integrator.

Bad assembled, bad o'ring

It was or bad assembled or factory problem. Since the o'ring was bad and it had a huge air leak. What ever the case, the people of Leisure pro should had revised and tested it when they assembled it.

Works flawlessly!

I tried others regs but this one is definetely the best. It looks extremely reliable, compact and lightweight. The only thing I've changed was the mouthpiece because it was a little bit small for me.

Good Price & Performance Poor Finishing

I'm a new diver, just clocked around 20 dives. Previously I used a loan set of Scubapro S600/MK25 from my firend. While others said that scubapro is effortless breathing, I don't see such a big difference when compared with this cressi reg. There is one reason I like this better than the scubapro, it is that my air consumption is better??!?! Is that even possible? For my first 14 dives I had been using the scubapro reg, but more often than not, I will be low on air before the pre-determine dive time is up. However, in between these 14 dives, I get a chance to use a cressi reg and my air consumption is par with other divers doing the same dive. Thus, I bought this cressi reg and for my recent 6 dives, my consumption is on par with all other seasoned drivers. NO MORE LOW ON AIR AND PREMATURE ASCENT!! I had checked with other seasoned divers, they provide mixed conclusion on the possibility on air consumption using different reg. However, a point to note is that scubapro using piston designed 1st stage while cressi uses diaphragm. I tried breathing at different angle under water and I didn't experience any difficulty breathing. Max depth I went so far with this reg is 21m. While the titanium colour and slick design is very attractive, the finishing touches is not up to par. When I first receive my reg some time back, the titanium surface colour is not uniform, seems mildly corroded with dark patches here and there and the cut-out of the brand name CRESSI seems cheapo, poor workmanship.

Feels Like a Rental Reg

Overall I'm a big fan of the Cressi company. It makes quality products at a reasonable price. This reg, however, is just ordinary. The construction is fine (it looks durable and of quality materials)but breathing performance simply isn't there. I bought this reg while my wife got the Scubalab Gear of the Year Award winning Aeris AT600/Ion reg. Her's simply blew this out of the water during the 5 dives we tested these on in Cancun. If you simply want a well-constructed reg at a very low price, you've found it here. If you want a reg that makes breathing under water effortless, shoot for the Aeris or, if you're like me and determined to buy Cressi, splurge on the Scubalab Best Buy award winner MC-9 Ellipse Balanced instead.

You better Belize it!

There is no adjustment on the secondary but a dive/standby lever. The secondary breaths just like you are breathing on land (perfectly balanced) at depth and near the end of the dive. Was having intermitent issues with breathing using rented gear. These two dives of around 85 ft in Belize were excellent with my new reg. I used 100 tanks which gave me some extra bottom time. The only thing that I will change about the secondary is the mouth peice. I will get a custom fit one to makes the feel in the mouth more comfortable. I felt I was having to clinch a little too much even though the reg never fell out of my mouth. All in all, very good quality with no free flow and very easy to use. Thanks, Leisure Pro. WEK.

Breathe easy

After getting my advanced open water & 20 dives I felt it was time to get my own regulator set. With help from leisurepro reviews & email I chose to spend a bit more to get a balanced reg & this item had a lot of positive reviews. I Have only done 2 cold water shallow dives so far and regulator breathes easy. On land you can't notice any difference in breathing effort even down to 10 bar. My only minor concern is the small bite nodules although at no time did it feel like coming out. Anti free flow switch worked a treat on the surface stopping free flow instantly. Looking forward to a lot more diving with this regulator set.

Cressi Ellipse Titanium MC9 Regulator

I think this is a great regulator. It is not the most popular with many divers in the US but would recommend this to anyone! It breathes very easily, even in deep water. I love it.

Worth the money

I got to use my new Cressi Ellipse Titanium MC9 Regulator for the first time on a beach dive and was very pleased. The only thing I was not happy with is the mouth piece which is no biggie since all mouths are different. Even with this I give it a 5. Very light weight and the adjustable air flow is a great feature. The first stage is nice and compact.

Easy breather...

By Jim H.

I was the guy that had to come-up first on the dives due to low air, not sure if this reg was the difference, but I did great on air consumption this last time.

The Ellipse Titanium uses an elliptical housing for the second-stage regulator which is made from hi-tech polymers and titanium. The use of titanium and the polymer create a very lightweight regulator. All the internal components of the Ellipse are a dependable high performance downstream valve design. Once the valve has open the air is channeled by injection to the liquid silicone mouthpiece creating a venturi-effect enhancing the performance. On the top of the housing there is a flow deviator that acts on the Venturi effect, with dive/pre-dive switch.

The Balanced 1st stage MC9 hyper-balanced diaphragm actuated 1st stage has a lightweight body covered by a protective techno-polymer elastomer shell. Various parts of the 1st stage is made of lightweight titanium further reducing its weight. The regulator is equipped with four low pressure and two high pressure ports. Internally the 1st stage is coated with an anti-friction anti-corrosion material that reduces resistance and allows the critical components to move freely. This makes the components perform and last longer between annual servicing and increases performance.

Research on internal air passages and incorporating a special assist chamber has lowered the drop of intermediate pressure upon inhalation and has kept this drop at a minimum, guaranteeing higher performance in any situation. Hyper-balancing allows for an increase of the intermediate pressure at maximum depths and when experiencing low pressure in the Scuba cylinder, offering higher performance at maximum depths and during the ascent phase of the dive. Regulator weighs 31.8 oz. (901 g) with the hose and comes with an owner's manual.
